UK television aired an interview last week with a British Palestinian woman complaining about the evils of Islamophobia in England. But ITV didn’t tell viewers that the woman had, just days earlier, publicly cheered the Hamas slaughter of Jews as a “moment of triumph”.

You pick up The New York Times and start reading about a Palestinian Islamic Jihadi missile hitting a parking lot and get the impression that an Israeli Defence Force missile hit a hospital.

Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. Founded in 1988, Hamas’ name is an acronym for “Islamic Resistance Movement” in Arabic.

For now, Israelis struggle to cope — not just with the nightmare of such enormous loss, but with the world’s perception that they are somehow to blame.

We live in a divided world, from the conflict in the Middle East to the defeated Voice to Parliament. As I’ve thought about the various issues, here are 10 of my reflections on the Voice, and on the Israel situation.
