Days of Holiness ~ Day 22: Holy Day of Rest
So the creation of the heavens and the earth
and everything in them was completed.
On the seventh day God had finished His work of creation,
so He rested from all His work.
And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy,
because it was the day when He rested from all His work of creation.
~ Genesis 2:1-3 (NLT)
God declared the seventh day holy and He rested! God honored the seventh day and made it holy, because in it He rested from all His work which He had done. Our bodies, souls and spirits are designed for a holy day of rest. The deep sweet rest we need comes from our relationship with, and our faith and trust in, our Holy God. We can cease from our fervent strivings and lean on Him, rely on Him and receive the fullness of holy rest. Hebrews 4:3a says:
“We who have put our trust in God go into His rest.”
He placed in each of us His nature of creativity and a desire for holiness. He designed us to live in a rhythm of time when we also must enter a holy rest. We are replenished and blessed when we rest! There is a Holy rest to enter where we cease striving and enter into His shalom — His peace and assurance that we are blessed — that God has heard our hearts, and Heaven is moving on our prayers of Intercession. It is in His Holy rest we naturally tune in to listen with greater clarity to His voice and recharge our energy to arise strong again!
Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being such a good Father who gives us good gifts. We choose this day to receive from You the gift of rest, and we call it holy. We break off all lies that want us to keep striving and give ourselves no rest; we break off all distractions and the tyranny of the urgent that shouts there is no time to rest.
We choose to enter Your deep sweet rest, as we run this race for the freedom from the horrors of death through abortion for the unborn, and secure life for them. We lean into rest for our souls, that is found in Your goodness. Our faith is in You who sits in Heaven and laughs at Your enemies; Who has recorded the demise of every enemy in Scripture. We put our trust in You to fight for the unborn in our days!
Lord, thank You that You speak clearly to Your people as we remain in You, in Your holy rest. Lord, we exalt You and ask that we will see, in these days, many more being awakened to Your heart to rescue the unborn and to turn the tide on abortion from being a normal outcome for unplanned pregnancies in our nation.
Lord, we thank You that You oppose the proud who are pushing these horrendous Bills legalising the shedding of innocent blood. Lord, we thank You that You give grace to the humble who now look to You — Your holy nation — that You have chosen, Your royal priesthood that You have anointed. Jesus, Yeshua, our eyes are on You and our trust is in Your Name that is above every other name. Amen.

Abundant grace to you as we continue in prayer and fasting according to Mark 9:29 ~
He answered them, “This type of powerful spirit can only be cast out by fasting and prayer.”
Points for Prayer ~ pray for:
- South Australia’s Lower House politicians, that they be infused with truth and light for the sanctity of life – even of the unborn. Pray for a majority to vote no to this bill and take courage to defeat the Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 the week of Feb 3rd 2021.
- The Walk for Life, February 6th 2021 in Adelaide, South Australia.
- For our future generations to be rescued from the horror of death through abortion!
Let the spirit of adoption enter the hearts of those considering abortion,
to carry to full term and save their child’s life. - For greater numbers of believers in Jesus all over Australia and the South Pacific region to awaken to the battle and stand for life — to rise up in wisdom and courage to take action needed and speak for the voiceless.
- For the church to become a haven of hope and help for those with unplanned pregnancies.
To send the intended influential message to our politicians
that South Australians DO NOT want legalised abortion up to birth,
we need thousands of people on the WALK for LIFE!
It will take each of us to SPREAD THE WORD through all our networks!

Identificational repentance is a very powerful corporate, priestly (1 Peter 2:9) prayer weapon, in which believers stand in the gap for their family, church, city, or nation by naming the sins that have shaped a people, confessing them before God, and turning from those patterns in heartfelt humility.
