Left-Wing Yoga and Why Laughter is the Best Medicine
This could be the shortest article we have ever put up on the Daily Declaration. But I believe it is easily the funniest.
Not because of me, but because of four very funny videos by two very incredibly hilarious people.
The first video was sent to me by my friend Trevor Suitor. It is called “Left Wing Yoga” and it had me in stitches. I sent it to a dozen friends but now I am going to share this Sammy J video with the whole world.
Henry Ward Beecher said,
“A person without a sense of humour is like a wagon without springs. It’s jolted by every pebble on the road.”
The COVID lockdowns are putting enormous pressure on people. That is why it is important to laugh.
As Erma Bombeck said,
“There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humour and hurt.
JP Sears from the USA has mastered the art of laughing at our political tragedy, as found in his video, “How To Be a Woke White Person”.
Isobelle Carmody said,
“Laughter is a powerful weapon for it carries the light. To laugh is to defy the darkness.”
Our society is verging on communal insanity. Laughter helps us laugh at ourselves and our own stupidity, which in a funny way helps keep us sane.
Mark Twain said,
“The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.”
“Have COVID, Will Travel“, another delightful video by Sammy J will, I believe, prove Mark Twain right.
Victor Borge said,
“Humour is something that thrives between man’s aspirations and his limitations. There is more logic in humour than in anything else. Because, you see, humour is truth.”
JP Sears, or Samuel Jonathan McMillian as his mother named him, shows this to be the case in the last funny video of four. The title of the video, “What Leftists Think About Freedom of Speech”, proves the veracity of Moliere’s words:
“The duty of comedy is to correct men by amusing them.”
All of this goes to show the wisdom of Charlie Chaplin, who said,
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
But the greatest wisdom of all is found in the word of God. Proverbs 17:22 tells us,
