Intention

Prayers of petition from earth to heaven are wonderful, but we can also decree from heavenly places and shift the atmosphere on earth.

Scripture

“You shall also decree a thing and it shall be established to you.

Reflection

Decree for Federal Elections 2022:

So, we decree that the church and Christians in government will live, think, speak and act as if we are seated with Jesus in heavenly realms (Eph 2:6). We decree that the church and Christians in government have the courage to declare the manifold wisdom of God to the rulers and authorities in heavenly realms (Eph 3:10) and to the people of Australia and the nations, especially during the federal elections. We decree that Christians standing for election will have favour with the electorate and will campaign and govern with Godly wisdom.

We decree that a spirit of repentance and revival will sweep across Australia. We decree that the boat of our nation Australia will turn around from ungodly values and that it will anchor itself on our Judeo-Christian heritage and values. We decree that the federal elections will be a turning point to align Australia with God’s plumbline. We decree that the government of Australia is on the shoulders of Jesus (Isaiah 9:6-7).

We decree that when the nations are judged, Australia will be a sheep nation (Mat 25) and find favour with the Lord for treating the Jewish people and Israel well. We decree that the Indigenous people of Australia will rise up in the spirit of Joseph to their callings in the Lord and leadership in Australia and that relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians are healed.

We decree that we have religious freedom in Australia, protection of the life of the unborn and elderly and that traditional family values that line up with God’s word will prevail. We decree that Australia is safe from terrorism and invasion. We decree that “isms” and concepts that oppose God will lose their power.

We decree that the mouths of the lions that are character assassinating our Christian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, will be shut and we release angelic protection over him, his team and his family.

Prayer

Father,

We thank you that you have called us as your church to be an ekklesia: Your government on earth to establish Your Godly policies as outlined in Your word. So, we pray that You would help us to rise to our high calling in You and take our place in heavenly realms.

We also pray for the man-made government of Australia as you have called us to pray for those in authority and we pray that those who fear You and love You would be elected in the federal elections on 21 May in Jesus’ name.

Amen!

Authors’ Bio

Barbara & Norman planted the Tabernacle of David in Cairns and the parachurch Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace. They have also led several prayer events for Australia Day and conferences in many Australian cities. Norman is an Aboriginal artist with his own gallery. He has campaigned for recognition of Indigenous people in the Constitution and handed the “Miller Boomerang Petition” to Federal Parliament in 2013 and 2016, which collected over 5,000 signatures. Barbara is also the author of several books, most of them on Australian history and biography, including one about a 100-year-old Holocaust survivor.

4. Pray for a Revival for Australia, Spiritual Awakening and Transformation for our nation, and the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16
