Day 9: We Are ALL Ministers
Intention
Our call is to minister the Gospel (good news) of the Kingdom of God.
Scripture
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”
— 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV)
Reflection
In 1517, Martin Luther challenged the Church of the day to a debate on 95 issues (theses). The net result was what we now know as the Reformation and what we now understand as the doctrine of justification by faith.
There was another doctrine which is not as well understood, and that is the priesthood of all believers. In its most simple form, this means we pray directly to — and are in relationship with — God, without the need of another human to act on our behalf. It also means we are all called to be ministers (priests) — that is, one who can bring the truth of the Gospel of the Kingdom to other people.
The Gospel, at its core, is the message that we can all come into the family of God. We are not just saved but also born again into the body of Christ, i.e., the family of God. This is awesome news! (see John 3)
As we ramp up to the 2000th birthday of the Ekklesia (church) on Pentecost 2033 and have the global goal of everyone (all 8+ billion on the planet) hearing this good news at least once, we know this will only happen as all of us — not just big-name ministries, or organisations — are activated as ministers of the Gospel.
Yes, I see many organisations agreeing and working together for this plan (World Evangelical Alliance, Billion Soul Harvest, GO Movement, Hope Movement, Finishing the Task, YFC, YWAM, CRU, and many, many others) but it is still the activation of the whole Ekklesia that is needed. That is the call from Heaven.
This is YOUR calling; you are a minister of the Gospel of the Kingdom!
It is time that we all rise up and simply tell our story. We are all witnesses to the whole world (Acts 1:8). A witness is one who gives evidence. Our story is our evidence.
How do we do this together? Prayer, Mission, and Generations. See here.
Prayer. Let’s pray together as family and seek to hear our Father’s heartbeat.
Mission. Let’s proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom and also do the works of faith.
Generations. Fatherlessness and destruction of the family is a curse and a major root cause of the issues plaguing the world today. The Good News is that people can be restored into God’s family.

Prayer
Papa God, we are Your family. Let us know Your heart and Your family, then let us go and invite others into Your family by proclaiming the good news of Your Kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let us bring Glory back to You as we lift Your name to a lost and dying world.
Amen.
