Day 22: God is Sovereign
Intention
To remain focused on the great I Am
Scripture
“And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, a host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, alas, my master! What shall we do? Elisha answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

Reflection
There are times and seasons that we journey through in life that brings challenges of uncertainty, confusion, and fear. And we can sometimes question our faith and our beliefs.
In these trying periods, we can often operate out of our own ability, our own thinking, our own feelings, our own knowledge and our own experiences. When we do this, we can become overwhelmed.
Elisha’s servant was in a state of fear for his life and his focus was on what he was seeing through his natural facilities, which caused him to become afraid.
As we journey through these trying times, just like what Elisha prayed for his servant, “Lord Open his Eyes!” — we ask the Lord to open our Spiritual Eyes. We ask Him to cause us to see beyond the natural into the Realm of the Spirit and keep us in the knowledge that our Lord is Sovereign.
Our Lord is sovereign overall. He is supreme and has absolute power, dominion, and rule to outwork salvation, healing, and deliverance in our Nation.
Keep focused on Who He is — the Great I am. Truly, all authority and dominion belong to Him.

Prayer
Father, we thank You that You go over and above and beyond all that we could ever think, say or do or ever imagine.
As we stand together as one body — Your church — we ask that Your Sovereign power and dominion would outwork in our nation, releasing salvation, healing, and deliverance — restoring and renewing the heart of Your church and the heart of our nation Australia.
We humbly come to You and ask for Your forgiveness for not allowing the Holy Spirit to have His way in our land, our nation of Australia. We thank You that every good thing comes from Your hands to restore all that has been stripped away over the past years and that You are Sovereign in performing Your words that have been prophetically spoken over this Nation — the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.
We lay aside our agenda, our self-motivations and anything of self that You may Sovereignly move afresh now to restore Your Glory as the waters cover the sea.
In Jesus’ wonderful name we ask, Amen.
