The Hypocrisy of the Climate Catastrophe Catechists
Climate lawyer Farhana Yamin is flying overseas to talk about stopping people from flying overseas.
Heading to #COP27 along with half the plane! I’ve been to all of them since COP1 but missed Bali & India COPs due to maternity leave. My kids have grown as have #GHG emissions due to #FossilFuels. Will be working on #climatejustice #JustTransition #LossAndDamage pic.twitter.com/DCtJC9pGxW

She boasts that this will be the 27th place she has flown to in a bid to save the world from fumes emitted by people being flown places.
She’s saving us all from the “climate emergency” one flight at a time. Bless.
My irony meter just exploded.
Is that a wind-powered plane?
Or perhaps a solar-powered plane?
Or is it a plane load of phoneys? I’ll go with phoneys.
My carbon footprint is nothing compared to these climate fakes.
All Talk, No Real Action
As Bjorn Lomborg said:
“Imagine if world leaders committed to nuclear power 30 years ago instead of wasting decades attending climate change conferences & pursuing counterproductive energy policies promoting wind & solar power.”
According to a report in Metro last year, more than 670 private jets were used to transport conference delegates in and out of COP26.
The 2021 summit in Glasgow was expected to emit around 102,500 tonnes of CO2 equivalent (CO2e) — twice as much as the 2019 summit in Madrid — with 60% of emissions coming from international flights.
Dr Doug Parr, Chief Scientist for Greenpeace UK, said:
“The meeting in Glasgow is not supposed to be a demonstration of sustainable lifestyles, and it shouldn’t be judged in those terms.”
Hahahahahaha
and for good measure can I just say…
Hahahahahahahahaha.
They are not supposed to demonstrate sustainable lifestyles or be judged for their lifestyles.
We are!
Remember that next time Greenpeace ask for a donation.
That Yamin fired off her tweet without any self-awareness should tell you all you need to know about why so many people, myself included, think the climate crisis is more industry than crisis.
After all, if the planet were on fire, would your first thought be… let’s jump on a plane to talk about it?
If it is, you probably don’t believe the planet is really on fire. But it’s okay, Yamin, because we don’t believe it either.
Have a nice flight and enjoy the five-star hotel.
