Day 14: Do Not Forbid Them
Jesus is always aware of the most vulnerable, and clearly regards the little children.
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me,
and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.”
~ Matthew 19:14 (NKJV)
Every baby conceived is a gift for humanity to be cherished and loved. In South Australia, one of the few states keeping statistics, around 89 aborted babies die every day.
Our deepest desire must be to love and serve our Lord Jesus and His Kingdom. We have His heart of compassion and mercy, and a zeal to see justice for the vulnerable unborn who are being aborted.
Today we choose to seek the face of Jesus, and we open our hearts before Him. We listen to what He is saying and learn the strategies of the victorious ways of His Kingdom.
We do not undertake this battle alone, but we are positioned in Christ.
“And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed],
and seated us with Him in the heavenly places,[because we are] in Christ Jesus.”
~ Ephesians 4:6 (AMP)
Prayer
Thank You, Father, for giving us Your Son. Thank You that we are positioned to hear Your voice and gain victory, as we have already been seated in heavenly places ‘in You Christ Jesus’, where we have authority as the Ecclesia.
Lord Jesus, we thank You that You intercede for us, especially now as this battle still rages for the vulnerable unborn Australians. Together with You, we say let the children come to You and do not forbid them the life abundant that You freely give. We forbid the abortion of our generations, because abortion is not in Heaven.
Thank You for strategies to help us find solutions to halt the continuing push for the legalising of more widespread abortion. Lord, we ask for victory in establishing for us the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2022 and the Statutes Amendment (Loss of Fetus) Amendment Bill 2022. We ask that You release the right people into the right places at the right time, bringing Your truth to cause a shift in the minds of our politicians.
Reveal Your truth and light to those pushing the Inquiry into Universal Access to Reproductive Healthcare (abortion) and the Free Abortion agenda in Canberra. We ask for confusion on the enemy and the termination of any future advances in the shedding of the innocent blood of our children in Australia. In the powerful and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Prayer Points
- Ask for the Esthers and Mordecais already positioned in our government to take steps of courage to expose the enemies’ destructive plans, and for God’s holy people to stand with them in prayer and action, so they know they are supported.
- We pray for every state and territory of Australia to come together to stand for life! For hearts to be awakened and every Christian to rally to rescue the unborn as the church rises up to “Walk for Life Adelaide” on 11 February and “March for Life” Brisbane — date TBA, Mackay “March for the Babies” October, and for other states to join in and hold rallies or walks in their cities.
These three current Pro-Life Issues before Parliaments:
- Pray that the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2022 be passed speedily in 2023. This Bill will protect babies who are currently, in most states of Australia, being left to die after a failed abortion. This protection for such babies is currently law in New South Wales (2019) and South Australia (2021) as amendments to the state Termination of Pregnancy Acts. This Federal Bill, if passed, will make this legislation National. Pray for protection for the three Federal Senators Alex Antic (Liberal Party), Matthew Canavan (National Party) and Ralph Babet (United Australia Party) who presented this Bill on 30 November 2022.
- On 28 September 2022, the Federal Senate referred an Inquiry into Universal Access to Reproductive Healthcare (abortion) to the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs. This enquiry is all about broadening abortion access and entrenching it into federal law, possibly overriding state laws. Pray that the Lord stops this from occurring.
- The passing in South Australia of the Statutes Amendment (Loss of Fetus) Amendment Bill 2022. Presented by MLC Sarah Game (One Nation). This bill would acknowledge the loss of an in-utero baby due to a criminal act, such as assault of the mother or dangerous driving — offences in their own right. This Bill is about justice and recognition of a life lost. Sadly abortion is not recognised as a criminal offence, but this bill will for the first time recognise the personhood of the unborn child.
Pray that abortion will not increase in Australia. The ACT Government has announced it will provide free abortions from 2023. There are also calls for taxpayers to fund abortions nationwide, and for nurses to be allowed to give out abortion pills.

Four years after the overturning of Roe v Wade, abortions in America have nearly doubled — because unregulated abortion drugs are being shipped across state lines with virtually no oversight, no verification, and no consequences. Identificational repentance is a very powerful corporate, priestly (1 Peter 2:9) prayer weapon, in which believers stand in the gap for their family, church, city, or nation by naming the sins that have shaped a people, confessing them before God, and turning from those patterns in heartfelt humility.

Most Australians still believe in human dignity and inalienable rights, essential truths for a just legal system. What they’ve since abandoned is the only foundation that make those beliefs coherent.

“ We do not do this battle alone but we are positioned in Christ “. I pray that I, that each one of us is given grace which keeps this knowledge front of mind….. at all times Lord no matter where you may lead us.
