Karl Stefanovic Flags ‘Heart Issues’ as Australians Offered 5th Covid Jab

Australia’s peak immunisation body has made a fifth COVID-19 injection available nationally but TV host Karl Stefanovic doesn’t want a bar of it, expressing concern that “fit and healthy people [are] just dropping down with heart issues”.

In an interview with Australia’s former deputy chief medial officer Nick Coatsworth, Stefanovic confessed, “As you know, I’m not a glowing ambassador for more than two shots.” The Today host said he has had Covid a couple of times and is now “done with the vaccine”.

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) updated its advice on Wednesday to make all Australian adults ‘eligible’ for a fifth dose of the controversial product.

‘Fit and Healthy People Just Dropping Down’

“The other thing that I am concerned about is that if I have another dose, that I may get complications,” Stefanovic told Coatsworth during their conversation. He continued:

I have seen all those reports on the internet about fit and healthy people just dropping down with heart issues and it’s still not obviously established yet whether or not the vaccine causes some of the heart issues. So that’s a worry for me, more so than getting Covid.

In response, Coatsworth defended the injections as being relatively safe. “I don’t think there’s hundreds and thousands of sudden cardiac deaths that are being swept under the carpet,” he said, adding, “I think the TGA is doing a good job.”

The TGA has received almost 1,000 reports of Australians dying as a result of the mandated medical product. To date, they only concede that 14 were killed by Covid injections.

Visibility for Vaccine-Injured Australians

Coatsworth warned that at best, repeated injections offered only “transient protection” lasting about 8 to 12 weeks. “That’s the problem with these boosters, and of course eventually we’re going to have to stop with these recommendations for ongoing boosters,” he explained.

The top medical commentator also castigated the Department of Health and other medical bodies for continuing to stoke fear about COVID-19 in the Australian community. “That’s such a problem,” Coatsworth said, arguing that everyday Australians “don’t need to be worried” about the virus.

This week’s announcement from ATAGI coincides with a speech in the House of Representatives by Russell Broadbent MP of Victoria about vaccine-injured Australians.

Former President of the Australian Medical Association Dr Kerryn Phelps praised Broadbent for his speech, tweeting, “Thank you Russell Broadbent for your compassion in speaking with people who have suffered COVID-19 vaccine injury and bringing that message to the Australian Parliament.”

Late last year, Phelps revealed that she had suffered a ‘devastating’ injury after receiving the injection.

I’m just wondering when and how Karl Stefanovic became a greater authority on this issue than Australia’s former deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth.

On that basis, this article is nothing but an Appeal to Irrelevant Authority fallacy.

And the claims Stefanovic makes, which Dr Coatsworth rejects, are all false, and in fact could be regarded as dangerously so.

For example, the notion that there are “fit and healthy people just dropping down with heart issues” because of the vaccine is proven false, not just by the figures for Australia, but by data collected globally. As can be seen at https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589936821000694 Myocarditis/Pericarditis occurs at a rate of 12.6 cases per million doses and is highest among male adolescents and young adults, where, at around five times the average you’re looking at less than 1 in 10,000. And as https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/myocarditis-coronavirus-vaccine shows, it is usually mild and recovery is usually after a few days.

However, the REAL issue here is the same heart conditions as symptoms of COVID-19. In fact, study after study has proved that every single adverse effect that has been observed with the vaccines is also a far more severe and far more frequent symptom of COVID infection (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34907393/).

And in relation to the most frequent, and the most frequently raised as an objection to the vaccines, heart issues and blood clots, there is a recent study by the Medical Journal of Australia at https://www.mja.com.au/journal/2023/218/1/associations-between-covid-19-and-hospitalisation-respiratory-and-non which shows:

“The estimated risk of myocarditis or pericarditis after SARS‐CoV‐2 infection is 18–21 times as high as for uninfected people. Similarly, the risk of acute myocardial infarction is 3–6 times, that of ischaemic stroke 3–10 times, and the risk of venous thrombo‐embolism up to eight times as high. These risk differences are greater than for other viral respiratory infections or for vaccinated people not infected by SARS‐CoV‐2.”

And this is the most significant cause behind a 17% increase in fatal heart attacks in Australia in the first 8 months of 2022 (https://www.smh.com.au/national/fatal-heart-attacks-have-surged-in-australia-here-s-why-20230117-p5cd22.html), a phenomenon also seen elsewhere (https://www.news-medical.net/news/20221024/Heart-attack-death-rates-took-a-sharp-turn-and-increased-during-the-pandemic-study-shows.aspx)

As for these boosters, as the writer of the article chose to highlight the things Dr Coatsworth said in a prejudicial fashion, then it would have been fair to note that he said that ATAGI was merely informing the public of the availability of the booster and recommending it for those over 65 and those at severe risk due to other serious health issues.

So when this writer is going to such flawed lengths to make a non-existent case, one is left wondering why, when he highlights the fact that Dr Coatsworth is “arguing that everyday Australians “don’t need to be worried” about the virus”, then why is he worrying so much about Karl Stefanovic’s ill-informed opinion of the vaccines?

    Karl is articulating the truth!

    • Kim Beazley 9 February 2023 at 10:35 am - Reply

If that’s “truth”, then you should be able to show where the medical facts and figures I provided are not true. Otherwise your comment is not true. Which is cause for concern.

” cause for concern ” Something about this this statement in these days , sounds like a threat Kim. Actually a lot of your writing sounds violent and threatening……..it would not matter how many times you were shown facts and figures, if they contradict your opinion you attack and demonise the author.
Interestingly your opinion regarding medical interventions is in line with those on the Left ?

Please feel free to show where anything I’ve written here appears “violent and threatening”. I would in turn say that your accusation is such, as there is not the slightest hint of anything aimed at any particular person, only on what is in the article.

“…it would not matter how many times you were shown facts and figures, if they contradict your opinion you attack and demonise the author.”

I have neither attacked nor have I demonised anyone. And if you want to talk about “facts and figures”, as this article is devoid of anything but mere opinions, while I have shared a number of authoritative and independent opinions and studies, you seem to have things upside down. How could you possibly say that the “facts and figures” boot is on the other foot? Perhaps you are having trouble dealing with the REAL facts and figures because they don’t fit your biased views against the vaccines?

“Interestingly your opinion regarding medical interventions is in line with those on the Left ?”

What opinion? There’s nothing at all here about “medical interventions”, and I haven’t got a clue as to what you’re referring to. As for any opinion on medical issues being somehow politically aligned, that, too, is mystifying. Does every person on the Left share the same view? Seriously?

Its the words ” these vaccines are relatively safe ” which are stunning to me.
What happened to ” these vaccines are safe and effective ” ?
