Day 6: An Army that Carries the Glory
Intention
To join in prayer to see an army carry the glory of God and see it sweep across the South Pacific.
Scripture
“Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendour, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.”
– Psalm 110:3 (NIV)
“Your people will be your love offerings. In the day of your mighty power you will be exalted, and in the brightness of your holy ones you will shine as an army arising from the womb of the dawn, anointed with the dew of your youth!”
– Psalm 110:3 (TPT)
Reflection
Being able to pray the Scripture is quite prophetic. The theme of these 21 days of prayer and fasting is ‘Wave of Glory’. Psalm 110 is a key psalm that has prophetic meaning of a coming move of God that will begin in ‘the womb of the dawn’ – the earliest part of the morning.
Verse 3 from Psalm 110 speaks of a prophetic promise. I believe it connects to a prophetic word about the ‘womb of the dawn’ spoken over the South Pacific. In this prophetic word, a Wave of Glory would come and spread across the South Pacific, hit Australia and from there go all the way to Jerusalem.
Psalm 110 speaks of an army dressed in holy splendour, a righteous and just military move of God. This army is “like dew” from the earliest part of the morning and “anointed with the dew of… youth”. Comparing it to the freshest, crisp dew, the army is full of youthful strength and vigour. It’s a magnificent portrayal!
The opportunity to come into agreement with God’s Word is before us. It’s an opportunity not just to pray but also to make a declaration. We declare that God’s troops shall be ready on the day of battle. That an army would arise from the South Pacific carrying the glory of God which will come like a wave.
I believe there are also connections to be made between Psalm 110:3 and the South Pacific. It’s interesting that Tonga is known as ‘the womb of dawn’. It sits close to the International Date Line and is one of the very first countries to welcome the dawn of a new day. There is also the deep historical gospel connection between Australia and our South Pacific Islander brothers and sisters. Australia played a role in bringing the gospel to a number of these nations.
Now many from these nations are coming to Australia to join us in prayer and mission.

Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus we ask that You would fulfill Your word spoken of in Psalm 110.
We pray that an army will arise across the whole South Pacific that will carry the glory of God and shine with the beauty of holiness like a wave. We pray for this Wave of Glory to come from ‘the womb of the dawn’ right across the South Pacific and the Great Southlands of the Holy Spirit.
Raise up Your army Lord, dressed in holiness and ready for the day of battle. Let Your people hear Your command to fulfil the great commission and become the answer to prayer. Amen.
