A Petition to Sign for Our Babies Born Alive Bill
A Senate committee failed to support our Bill but all is not lost. Sign this petition to protect babies born alive during attempted abortions.
As you may know, I supported George Christensen MP when he introduced the previous incarnation of this Bill in the last Parliament and most certainly would have voted in favour of his Bill had it reached the Senate.
In November last year, along with Senator Matt Canavan, and Senator Ralph Babet, I have introduced into the Senate a Bill in the same name and in substantially similar terms as was introduced by Mr Christensen in the House of Representatives last year.

Read Our Dissenting Report
By way of an update, in August the Senate Standing Committee on Community Affairs finalised its report into this Bill, but unfortunately failed to make any recommendations supporting the Bill.
Senator Canavan, Senator Babet and myself have prepared a dissenting report which recommends that the Senate pass this Bill to ensure this barbaric practice ceases in Australia.
