Biden Too Senile to Stand Trial: U.S. Justice Department
If Biden is mentally unfit for trial, how will he go running the free world into his mid 80s?
A storm of speculation surrounds President Joe Biden’s bid for re-election in November, after the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) assessed that his mental decline renders him unfit to stand trial for his mishandling of top-secret documents.
Biden’s cognitive deterioration — which, according to some polls, was already obvious to a majority of American voters — was confirmed in a DOJ Special Counsel report unsealed late last week.
The Federalist reports:
Federal prosecutors who investigated President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents declined to press charges despite discovering top-secret records in his Delaware home’s “garage, offices, and basement den.”
On Thursday, Special Counsel Robert Hur unsealed his report to the Department of Justice (DOJ), concluding “that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter” despite records found related to foreign policy in Afghanistan and handwritten notes “implicating sensitive intelligence.” Prosecutors declined to press charges, in part, because “Biden would likely present himself to the jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
“Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt,” Hur’s team wrote in the nearly 400-page report. “It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him by — by then a former president well into his eighties — of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”
🚨Special Counsel Hur found both: (1) “faulty memory”; and (2) “diminished faculties.” That second finding is hugely significant. It is a finding the President not only has memory issues, but also has cognitive impairment. No surprise the White House strenuously objected to… pic.twitter.com/rsPXdfaTqc

Biden’s Gaffe-Filled Press Conference
Hours after the DOJ released its report, Biden held a snap press conference — a move he has seldom made during his time in office — in an apparent effort to push back on the news of his senility.
However, as many outlets have noted, the press conference raised more concerns about the president than it quelled.
According to the Daily Wire:
During the event, Biden snapped at reporters for asking him about his mental fitness, even though 76% of Americans have said that his mental and physical fitness was a concern.
When asked about voters’ concern, Biden snapped: “That is your judgement! That is your judgement! That is not the judgement of the press.”
Biden then declared that he was “the most qualified person in the United States to be president.”

When asked about Israel’s war with Hamas, Biden mistakenly called Egypt’s leader Abdel Fattah El-Sisi “the president of Mexico”.
It is the third time in just days that Biden that has mixed up world leaders, after confusing French President Emmanuel Macron with his predecessor François Mitterrand, and former German Chancellor Angela Merkel with Helmut Kohl, who preceded her.
Both Mitterrand and Kohl left their respective offices in the 1990s.
Biden says, on the Israel vs. Hamas war: "Initially, the president of Mexico Sisis did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in."

Then, Biden forgot the name of the church where his late son, Beau, received the rosary the president now wears every day.
Biden is known for regularly confusing the facts surrounding Beau’s death. Beau passed away from brain cancer in 2015, but the president has repeatedly claimed his son died in the Iraq War, which ended in 2011.
Biden Contradicts the DOJ Report
Joe Biden continued with his gaffes, flatly contradicting three clear facts in the DOJ report.
First, he claimed not to have shared classified information with his ghostwriter, despite Special Counsel Robert Hur’s finding that “disclosure of classified information from his notebooks to his ghostwriter, risked serious damage to America’s national security.”
Second, Biden attempted to distinguish his case from that of former president Trump, who faces a 40-count indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents by storing them in various unsecured rooms at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
“All the stuff that was in my home was in filing cabinets that were either locked or able to be locked,” Biden told reporters during the press conference.
But that is not what Hur’s investigators found. They discovered classified documents in the “garage, offices, and basement den” of Biden’s Delaware home.

Ironically, when Biden was asked about the Trump classified documents case last September, he berated the former president.
“How anyone could be that irresponsible?” Biden sneered to a 60 Minutes reporter.

Finally, Biden claimed that none of the records found in his possession were “high classified”, even though the DOJ report made clear that the documents had “classification markings up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Level”.
Questions Remain in the Election Lead-Up
The DOJ report and President Biden’s subsequent press conference present several head-scratching enigmas as the November presidential election draws near.
By calling a press conference, Biden sought to prove to the press and the public that he is mentally fit — in which case, he should be able to stand trial on charges of mishandling classified documents.
Biden can’t have it both ways. Either he is senile, and therefore unfit for office and unfit for trial — or he is sharp enough for both the Oval Office and the courtroom.
Additionally, it would seem that the Department of Justice needs to explain its double standards.
As Trump ally and Republican Senator for Ohio J.D. Vance wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Biden gives away classified information as a private citizen and gets a pass. Trump “mishandled” classified info of his own government and they want him to die in prison. Our criminal justice system is a joke.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson also, along with several colleagues, criticised the DOJ, saying their decision not to charge Biden “exposes a two-tiered system of justice that is indicting one President with politically motivated charges while carrying water for another amid similar allegations.”
Trump charged with willfully retaining 21 documents with "TOP SECRET" markings.
Biden, according to a chart at the end of Hur's report, retained 18 files with "TOP SECRET" markings.
Trump charged with willfully retaining 9 files with "SECRET" markings.

There are also glaring questions about Biden’s fitness for re-election.
If Biden, aged 81, is too elderly to be held responsible for mishandling classified information, how will he go leading the free world — not to mention the world’s largest economy and military — into his mid 80s?
Will he even stand for re-election, or is there a successor waiting in the wings?
Only time will tell.
