A few weeks ago now, I was sent a roster to assist in leading prayer meetings being held by the Canberra Declaration throughout October 2024, focused on praying for sexual integrity and revival in the USA and Australia.

I checked my work and home calendars and landed on a couple of dates that suited: Saturday, 5 October and Friday, 25 October. I thought little more of it until Friday, 4 October, when I inquired of God: What would He have me say?

And He drew me to the number 5.

It started during my daily walk: all I could hear over and over again, was the word Behold.

All I could do was Behold the Lord.

To Behold Him in all His glory, Him as majestic, the only God, the One we are to Honour and Revere, to hold in High Esteem, to magnify and place nothing above Him, to place everything in submission to Him, every high and lofty thought, every altar that we create in our material things, our work, our relationships, our desires and feelings. He is requiring us to Bow Low.

He is GOD, and He is here.

BEHOLD Him.

God drew me in further: I was presenting on the 5^th. He was highlighting the number 5 to me. I hesitated. He reminded me that I was presenting on the 25^th. I decided to call it a day, but He prompted me, “Not yet, check your phone”, and I did – it was 9.55pm.

The number 5… God has my attention. He wants me to share with you, the significance of 5.

What God is about to do, and what has already begun, is demonstrated to us via a sign. The sign being a number in the Hebrew calendar, the number 5.

It is a sign of the times.

To the Pharisees, it is now 5785. In the Gregorian calendar, we are about to step into 2025. And for the Essenes, in March they step into 5950.

So many 5s. Not a coincidence.

So what does 5 mean?

There is a lot to learn about the number 5 from a Jewish and Biblical perspective, with additional resources provided at the end of this article. The meanings that God is highlighting to me for now, are:

Hey — The 5^th letter of the Hebrew alphabet

Ancient meaning: Behold, Breath (Spirit)

At the end of a word, means fruitfulness (fertility)

5 — Signifies Grace

50 — A zero added to a number in Hebrew denotes more of

50 — Is a Biblical Jubilee

What does this tell us about the times?

First, it gives greater depth to the revelation of Psalm 24. Those who allowed God to purify them in the past year(s), God is decreeing that they are now ascended and positioned to Behold. Your repentance and humility have been heard and seen. Now is the shift, to Behold.

Conversely, those who are self-seeking, they are not positioned to Behold. Whilst others were in deep repentance and humility, they were busy manufacturing glory – racing ahead to verse 7, ignoring verse 4. They missed the prophetic significance of the beginning of Psalm 24.

Second, as we Behold (v6&7), God’s glory will come in. Not for what we have done, but for who He is.

As we step into 2025, and for the Essenes, 5950, we will see the fullness of the significance of the number 5 manifest. This includes grace (God’s saving grace), fruitfulness, fertility (the birth of many children of God through salvation), favour (on those who Behold Him), slaves set free (as occurs every Jubilee), the manifest breath of the Spirit (as in Hey, YHWH).

This is the time that we have entered. It began mid-September 2024 and will continue well into next year.

I want to give you good reason to be excited. I know that the world is experiencing chaos. And I know that the last quarter was relentless for many, including me. But there is a shift. You the righteous ones, as you Behold Him, you will see the hand of the Lord move.

Who are the Essenes?

Some of you may be wondering about the reference to the Essenes.

The Essenes were a group of Jewish people, whose calendar differs to that followed by the Pharisees.

In the Pharisees’ calendar, their head of the new year is at the beginning of Tishrei – relevantly, this is when it is believed Jesus will return and “all of Israel will be saved”. This is the hope that the Jews today look forward to. As such, it is logical that this is their new year.

In the Essene calendar, their new year commences in Nisan, which, according to Exodus 12, is ordained by God as being the beginning of the new year, and on the 14^th day of that month, is ordained by God as the day to spill the blood of a lamb. It is understood that the Essenes followed the law closely and that they recognised Jesus as the lamb. As such, it is logical that this is their new year.

God today speaks to us through all three calendars. God today, moves and works in the spiritual realm, manifesting by the Holy Spirit in the natural realm, in time with all three calendars.

Pay attention! In March 2025, we will step into 5950 according to the Essenes. This is a Jubilee year – a year of double 5, double grace, double breath of the spirit to behold, a time when slaves are ordained to be set free. Be filled with anticipation.
