Our Incurious Senators
Are Australian Senators the least curious people on the planet?
Our Senators this week said no — for the fifth time — to an inquiry into the use of puberty blockers on children.
Queensland Senator Pauline Hanson moved the motion, only to have all but a few senators dismiss it as complete nonsense.
Anyone concerned about our children’s health being compromised by gender ideology?
Yawn. Not really.
Anyone worried about vulnerable kids being plied with pharmaceuticals to stop their natural development?
Sigh. What else have you got?
Senator Hanson said yesterday:
“For the fifth time, I’ve stood in the Senate and called for an inquiry into the experimental use of puberty blockers on vulnerable children.
“Every single time I have asked for an inquiry, it’s been because new evidence has come to light showing the risks and harm these treatments pose to kids.
And every single time she has asked for an inquiry, our Senators have denied the request.
Once, twice, three times, four times, five times … and counting.
Incredible
Understand what is happening in our country right now.
Senators are telling us it is vital that they block under-16s from accessing social media in order to protect them.
Heck, they might even have to introduce a Digital ID in order to do it. But it’s about protecting kids, right? Whatever it takes!
And yet, these same people won’t even have a conversation about whether or not puberty blockers are appropriate for children.
So, little Sally cannot have an Instagram account, but she can be put on medication to stop the natural development of her breasts because she enjoys climbing trees.
Make it make sense!
There are two things happening here.
First, the government is so intent on controlling what we view online that they are pretending grave concern about children’s welfare.
Sure, online content can be harmful for children. But riddle me this. If the government is so concerned about children’s safety online, why is age verification going to be required to stop kids viewing YouTube but not Pornhub?
Make that make sense!
Sounds to me like kids’ safety is not that important after all. In fact, it sounds to me like kids’ safety is being used as a backdoor for the introduction of a Digital ID.
And the same people who tut-tut me for being a conspiracy theorist would have tut-tutted me for not wearing a mask while driving alone in my car a couple of years ago!
I remember you.
Protecting Ideologies, Not Humans
The second thing that is happening here concerns trans ideology.
Senators are desperately afraid of a discussion about gender theory lest they are forced to explain what a woman is.
They all know that a woman is an adult female, and they all know that sex is a fixed biological reality.
But Senators — with a few exceptions (Senator Ralph Babet is a subscriber to The James Macpherson Report and a notable exception. Cheers, Senator!) do NOT want to be in a position where they have to say that trans women are not women, lest the Woke hordes turn on them.
So, they would rather turn a blind eye to the lifelong medicalisation of children than open up a discussion that could force them to admit inconvenient biological truths.
And while I’m at it, this is the exact reason the Senate also don’t want to discuss babies born alive after abortions.
The Greens moved this week to try to shut down just such a discussion in the Senate.
How on earth could civilised adults not even want to talk about the subject?
Simple.
A discussion about babies born alive after an abortion could open up a discussion about the ethics of late-term abortions — and who knows where that will lead!
Abortion is a holy sacrament of the Left, and Moloch forbid that it is ever challenged.
So proponents will call it family planning, and reproductive health, and women’s rights, and a hundred other euphemisms rather than what it is.
And we’ll turn our backs on live babies who, by their very existence, threaten to expose the vile practice for what it is.
And so that is why our Senators are so incurious.
It’s not an accidental incuriosity born of ignorance, it’s a deliberate a incuriosity carefully cultivated to protect illogical and inhumane ideologies.
There are some things that our Senators simply don’t want to know because there are some things our Senators simply don’t want to admit.

Is Prime Minister Anthony Albanese a stealth socialist? Trevor Loudon’s explosive new book suggests that Communism might have a hidden influence within Australia's highest offices.
Thanks for highlighting the real reasons for the woke hypocrisy in many Senators.
With a few exceptions, I depise all our politicians . Hypocrites. They do not represent us , but, serve Evil, abhorrent things . Even worse , they use their religion to get votes, to deceive us that they are “good” persons who believe in Christianity. Much publicity was given to Biden attending Mass. Even Albanese calls himself a “cultural Catholic” whatever that may mean ? He recently had himself filmed with girlfriend attending Mass in Brazil. Dutton is another Catholic, but, none of these MPs defend Christian values in Parliament. They don’t fool me , but, Pauline Hanson does !
That poor woman has been jailed for her beliefs and love of Australia, but , never gives up. She has many supporters on Sky News. I hope it translates into more votes for her Party next election.
If the Online ID Bill is passed, all of us will have to prove our age. There are questions of Privacy, etc, etc. It opens the door for ID Facial Recognition, Social Credit and Agenda 2030. Our only hope to defend our Freedoms and Christian values is prayer , Musk and X.
