Setting the Record Straight on President Biden’s 3 Farewell Speech Warnings
On Wednesday night, 46th US President Joe Biden gave his final address from the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, concluding a five-decade career in politics.
First elected in 1972 as the country’s youngest senator for his home state of Delaware, Biden contested the 1988 and 2008 presidential races unsuccessfully before running as Barack Obama’s Vice President, a role in which he served for eight years.
Biden then became the unlikely Democratic nominee in 2020, ultimately winning the White House amid historic election irregularities.
After failing to stave off Donald Trump’s return to Washington D.C., Joe Biden concludes his single-term stint amid a flagging economy, a Democratic Party brand in tatters, record low approval ratings, and one of the most radical left-wing administrations in US history.
While Biden has long been known for stretching the truth — not least regarding his family’s crime syndicate — some of the biggest furphies of his career came during Wednesday’s farewell address.
While the legacy media reports the outgoing president’s claims unquestioningly, his biggest lies are worth a closer look.
1. An Oligarchy is Taking Shape
Biden’s first warning was that “a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a few ultra-wealthy people” is forming.
“Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms,” he said, warning of “the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked”.
There is little doubt that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk was in view as Biden made his remarks.
However, Biden is counting on the rest of us having a short memory. Just days ago, he awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honour — to none other than billionaire powerbroker George Soros.
Soros is synonymous with weaponising wealth to interfere in elections — and United States elections in particular.
Among the many other progressive mega-donors to use their money and clout to sway American politics are Michael Bloomberg, Tom Steyer, Reid Hoffman, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. And that’s not to mention the woke corporatocracy that has formed over recent years to bolster leftwing policies and politicians.
An oligarchy isn’t taking shape, in other words — an oligarchy took shape a very long time ago and has served the Democratic Party handsomely.
The reason Biden waited until 2025 to sound the alarm about this phenomenon is clear: he’s upset the strategies that have kept him in power for decades have finally been discovered by his political opponents.
2. Misinformation is Spreading
“Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation enabling the abuse of power,” Biden claimed in his second warning Wednesday night. He continued:
“The free press is crumbling. Errors are disappearing. Social media is giving up on fact-checking. The truth is smothered by lies told for power and for profit.”
Biden is correct about Americans being “buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation” — but what he left unsaid is that his administration is the source of those errors, with plenty of help from Democrat sycophants in the lying legacy media.
If by “the free press is crumbling,” Biden means corporate newsrooms and cable talk shows, he is correct, though these days they are hardly “free”.
More and more Westerners are tuning out of traditional news sources, which have broken the public’s trust too many times, and are finding their news on independent platforms like X.
Once again, Elon Musk is evidently in Biden’s crosshairs, but what the president doesn’t want Americans to know is that X actually represents the views of the average voter far better than the papers and the nightly news. Moreover, X’s Community Notes feature does a far better job of weighing the truth than corporate “fact checkers” ever did.
Once again, Biden’s outrage would be better directed in the mirror.
3. Climate Change is an Existential Threat
Biden’s third warning was in relation to climate catastrophism — a topic now so hackneyed it induces eye rolls in all but the most zealous believers.
“Right now, the existential threat of climate change has never been clearer. Just look across the country, from California to North Carolina,” he told cameras.
On the contrary, as independent journalist Michael Shellenberger has observed, Los Angeles’ annual rainfall has shown no significant change since 1877 — but what has changed is human-induced factors, with inadequate forest, water and urban management being major contributors to the recent wildfires.
Among the many human errors that allowed such destructive blazes to go unchecked are steep firefighting budget cuts, the city’s pro-homelessness policies that have caused an uptick in delinquent arson, and empty reservoirs and fire hydrants at LA’s time of greatest need.
As a new wave of fire and high winds threaten Los Angeles, the media is reporting that California’s elected leaders are not to blame and that right-wing influencers and Donald Trump are spreading misinformation and politicizing a tragedy. But it’s much easier to blame the fires on climate change, isn’t it?
As president, Joe Biden made many decisions worthy of criticism, but he also had years of opportunity to course correct. It is disappointing to see him conclude his term in office erring in all the familiar ways.
But this provides Americans — and indeed all of us — with reason to hold out hope for the next four years.

Biden just a LIAR and fake Catholic. Anyone who believes him and his “Facts ” and/or supports him must have an IQ of Zero ! The sooner he is gone, the better, but, will he never be silenced ?
Very much needed article.Sadly Mr Biden has been shown to be the consumate lier. As Mark Twain said, “A lie can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots.”
I have long since stopped listening to President Biden. Sadly, I don’t think he had an original thought, let alone action of his own, while in office. Tragically, he has simply been the mouthpiece for the ‘real government, the globalist elites, who have no regard for the well-being or will of any nation’.
Great comment Jim.
I believe that God had a serious say and hand in this election and that, through Trump and his strong ally, Vance, America can regain its stature as the leader of the free world. Strong spiritual men of God, Mario Murillo, Todd Coconato, and Lance Wallnau, will bring America back to its Christian roots. And out of the hands of fakes who are more interested in how much money they have in the bank! And I believe this will help Australia and the work you people are doing. GOD BLESS AMERICA, and GOD BLESS AUSTRALIA, Terra Australis del Espiritu Santo.
