Christians in Politics 2025 Summit

Join Us for the Christians in Politics 2025 Digital Summit!

Any time from now, the Prime Minister will announce the date for the next federal election. The makeup of our next parliament will determine whether Australia adopts godly, righteous laws, unrighteous ones, or something in between.

The Canberra Declaration is passionate about seeing Australia’s Christian values continue to shape our laws. By implementing these values, countries such as ours have built some of the most peaceful, prosperous nations the world has ever known.

As Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:2, Australia’s Christian values have enabled us to “lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity” and have allowed the gospel to go out freely both in our nation and also to the nations of the earth (1 Timothy 2:3–4).

Christians in Politics 2025 Digital Summit

This is why we are thrilled to announce the Christians in Politics Digital Summit, which will be held next Wednesday, 19 February 2025, on Zoom. Now more than ever, we need Christians to be engaged in the political process for the good of our country.

Watch as I (Warwick) introduce this critical summit in the video below!

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic lineup of speakers for the Christians in Politics Digital Summit!

Powerful Partnership with Freedom for Faith, Church & State, FamilyVoice Australia and the Australian Christian Lobby

Mike SouthonMike Southon, Executive Director of Freedom for Faith, is organising forums for Christians to meet their political candidates. In this way, Christians can make an informed decision about who they believe will best represent them and Christian values in parliament.

He wants a church to host one of these forums in every federal electorate. So far, Mike has organised 55 churches to host a forum in 150 federal electorates. That means 95 electorates currently have no ‘Meet the Candidates’ forum.

Especially in electorates where the representative is elected by only a handful of votes, securing votes from Christians can be all the difference.

That’s why forums such as these in the past have led to policy changes within political parties. With a unified, well-organised approach, we have every reason to be optimistic about the outcomes of these forums for the next federal election!

At the Christians in Politics Digital Summit, you will hear more about these forums, why they are important, and how you can help make them a reality across Australia!

Dave PelloweDave Pellowe, Founder of Church & State, will also join us for this online summit.

Dave is passionate about seeing righteousness return to our parliaments and runs the Church & State conferences across the country to help Christians be salt and light in our culture.

I (Warwick) and Kurt Mahlburg are both speaking at March’s Chruch & State national conference in Brisbane, so be sure to join us!

Peter DowniePeter Downie is the national director for FamilyVoice Australia.

Peter wants to see our politicians stand for life, family, faith and freedom. He will share about how Christians can be proactively involved in the political process.

We are delighted that Peter will join us!

Rob NormanLastly, we are delighted that Australian Christian Lobby Queensland director Rob Norman will also contribute to the Christians in Politics Digital Summit.

Rob commenced with the Australian Christian Lobby at the start of 2022 and is committed to promoting and defending Christian values in the public sphere. He was at the forefront of the babies born alive after a failed abortion inquiry in Queensland, which led to a nationwide exposure of this barbaric practice.

We are grateful for Rob’s expertise and look forward to having him at the summit!

Finally, Canberra Declaration’s own Kurt Mahlburg and I (Samuel Hartwich) will also speak on the importance of godly Christian political engagement.

Having the leaders from Freedom for Faith, Church & State, FamilyVoice Australia, and the Australian Christian Lobby partner together means this upcoming summit is one you won’t want to miss!

We are incredibly grateful for the willingness to work together to promote righteousness in our parliament and nation.
