Peace and Unity through Yeshua’s Blood: Day 31
Intention
To pray that God revives Australia, breaking off the past through Yeshua’s blood and moving forward in unity and peace.
Scripture
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation.”
– Psalm 85:6–7
Reflection
Over the last few years, there has been a lot of racism in Australia and around the world. For the past two months, I have been in deep intercession for our nation. God has been speaking to me about the division in our country, which grieves my heart and His.
Decades ago, we washed our clothes in ‘wringer washing machines’. We had to fill the tub with water using a hose. The central spindle would twist back and forward to agitate the soapy water.

Once that was completed, we had to put each piece of clothing through the mechanical wringer and squeeze out the excess water. Then we could hang the clothes up to dry. The process was much more laborious than today’s modern electric washers!
Now, imagine that after putting the clean clothes through the wringer, you put them back in the tub and turn the hose on. Those clothes will be agitated in soapy water and must go through the wringer all over again.
I believe this is a good picture of what’s happening in Australia.
Some Aboriginal people continue to hold onto bitterness for past evils. This resentment is hindering the people and hurting them. They are chained to the past and cannot see how to break those shackles and move forward.
Our former Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, said sorry almost two decades ago. But we now have sorry days every year. When we go through that cycle year after year, nothing new is said. Everything has been said before.
Australia still has enough God-consciousness from our Christian heritage that we understand enough about guilt and sin. But we have lost sight of the cross of Christ. By rejecting Yeshua’s death and resurrection, when all sin and evil were finished, we can only repeat the agitation and wringer cycle year after laborious year.
Enough!
We can’t change the past. But we can release ourselves from it and move forward. The Bible has the only solution for Australia.
Jesus died for all injustice. We can be forgiven, and we can forgive what happened in the past! Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.” Soaking in God’s Word is very powerful and brings unity and peace.
We are one in Christ, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal, Jew and Gentile. Galatians 3:28 tells us, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
I want my children and grandchildren to live in peace with everyone and not fear what might be around the corner. We need peace and unity in our beautiful country, which God created.
The land doesn’t belong to any one group of people – it never has. Psalm 24:1–2 says, “The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord.” Every person and every piece of land belong to God, the Creator. This is the Word of God.
Let our hearts cry out for revival in Australia, “The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.”
Let us pray the 3 Rs for Australia: revival, restoration, and realigning in Yeshua’s name.

Prayer
Lord, You created the heavens, the lands and all nationalities. I pray for Your peace and healing for all who live in the “Great Southland of the Holy Spirit”. I pray that in Yeshua, those who need to forgive the past will forgive and move forward into the future You want, where there is unity, so our children and grandchildren can live in peace.
I also pray for revival for this beautiful country of ours. Give us Your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us your salvation. Oh Lord, as the water covers the seas, let Your glory and blood cover Australia and all her people.
In His name, amen.
