Has South Park Become Pro-Life?
You know we’re living in the last days when comedic parody has become conservative prophecy. The most recent example is South Park’s satirical portrayal of the Christian political commentator, Charlie Kirk (represented by the character ‘Cartman’), where he outlines the logical and legal inconsistency of the abortion lobby in less than ten seconds:
This is a word for word quote. https://t.co/65hlKGuk62

Just in case that was too quick for you, here’s a transcript of what was said:
Woke College Student: “… What makes you think you have the right to say what I do with my body?”
Charlie Kirk: “Let me ask you something.
If a pregnant woman is killed, and the baby dies too,
why is the killer charged with a double homicide?”Woke College Student: “Because… because people have different beliefs.”
Charlie Kirk: “It’s not about beliefs. It’s about truth.
Science confirms that life begins at conception.”
As my teenage children would say – BOOM!
South Park is definitely no friend of Christianity, but it’s impossible to argue with the logic of what Cartman’s character is saying. Even if it is meant to poke fun at him and isn’t meant to be taken seriously.
Life begins at conception, and we all scientifically know that it does. Because whenever one experiences the unintended loss of their unborn child through either accident or illness, there is a sense of enormous grief and loss.
Having Your Cake, and Killing It Too
Just because a mother intentionally chooses to terminate her pregnancy doesn’t nullify the rights of her unborn child. Even leftist comedians such as Bill Burr are publicly acknowledging this, as the following clip indicates (warning language):
I recently became a grandfather again for the second time in my life—hopefully there are still many more to follow—but what was extra special about this delivery was that this little girl was born ‘en caul’. This means that she was born still enclosed within the amniotic sac. Statistically speaking, it’s an incredibly rare event, with only one in every eighty thousand births occurring this way. An example of what I am referring to can be viewed below:
Tragically, also over the past weekend, former wannabe vice-president of the United States Tim Walz signed abortion up until birth into Minnesota law! This got me thinking: would my baby granddaughter not be considered human until she first breathed on her own outside the womb? I shudder to consider how pro-aborts such as Walz would answer that question!
All of which is to say, though, friend, if the folks at South Park are anything to go by, then the cultural tide is turning yet again. And we can truly thank God that the Democrats didn’t win the recent US election.
The writers of South Park seem to understand the issue, and hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before everyone else in society does as well. As the apostle Peter writes:
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed,
but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
For,“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”And this is the word that was preached to you.
(1 Peter 1:23-25)
