Australia’s Generational Genocide
Over 88,000 babies are aborted each year in Australia alone, about the same number of people who walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge a couple of weeks ago, which directly facilitated the Albanese government caving into the demand to recognise a Palestinian state. Which makes sense since it was, after all, the “Palestinian Action Group” that sponsored it.
But if you’re upset about what’s happening in Gaza, then what about the “generational genocide” that has been occurring in our country? Just consider the following statistic:

The general manager for CPAC, Barclay McGain, went on to further explain in a viral social media post:
28% of all babies conceived during the Generation Z era (1997-2012, my generation) have been aborted.
That’s more than a quarter of my generation’s population.
In 2019, Queensland reported 61,000 new babies born, but tragically 26,000 were terminated in the womb.
That’s 30% of all people in my home state — terminated.
These are people that could’ve been my mates at school, could’ve played cricket with — heck, these are people that could’ve gone on to be great scientists, leaders or entrepreneurs that made my country a better place to live.
Gone. Not allowed the right to life that I was afforded.
And we now live in a country with a declining birth rate, that can only be supplemented by mass immigration year on year to prevent us from economic collapse.
Is this really what we had in mind when the West set out to protect a women’s right to “bodily autonomy”?
The tragedy and horror of the situation are almost beyond belief. A third of all pregnancies in Queensland result in the baby being aborted. As Barclay McGain says, “These are people that could’ve been my mates at school, could’ve played cricket with — heck, these are people that could’ve gone on to be great scientists, leaders or entrepreneurs that made my country a better place to live.”
Shocked Out of Our Lethargy
One of the key moments in the movement to abolish the slave trade was a picture of a slave ship. A widely circulated drawing at the time showed the inhumane horror of what was routinely occurring. People were literally packed in like sardines with barely any space to breathe, let alone move:
Tragically, it is reliably estimated that over two million Africans died during the ‘middle passage’. A large part of the reason this was justified was that it was unseen. But as the Rev. David Ould points out, sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, because it was the above image that is widely credited as being the turning point in achieving an end to slavery.
In a similar way, wouldn’t it be good if the thumbnail to this piece shocked people enough so as to turn the tide of public opinion? What if the LORD raised up once again men and women who were willing to speak up in the public square?
When the Watchdogs are Silent…
What is of grave concern to me, though, is the silence of so many of my fellow Christian leaders, especially while this is occurring. There is a verse in the book of Isaiah 56 which says:
Israel’s watchmen are blind,
they all lack knowledge;
they are all mute dogs,
they cannot bark;
they lie around and dream,
they love to sleep.
~ Isaiah 56:10
It’s a stunning rebuke, as well as a reminder, that the LORD expects His servants to speak. In particular, to be “watchmen” who stand on the wall of the city and diligently call out danger and rebuke sin whenever they see it.
My concern is that a similar predicament is occurring in Australia today. i.e. Christian leaders (the watchmen of God’s people, see Ezekiel 33:1-16; Acts 20:26-28) are remaining silent in the face of growing hostility.
Just as in the time of William Wilberforce, it is time for Christians everywhere to raise their voices first of all to God in prayer and secondly to His servants here on earth through the democratic process.
Will you dare not only to speak, but also believe that the LORD might put an end to this practice within our lifetimes? If you are, then please consider using the following prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the God of life.
With You is truth and justice and forgiveness.
Forgive us for being silent when we should have spoken up.
Forgive us for being indifferent to the plight of the unborn.
Forgive us as a nation for allowing the murder of babies to grow and expand.
Please put an end to the practice of abortion.
Raise up men and women with the wisdom and courage to speak.
And when we do, grant us the ability to do so in love.
Thank You for hearing our prayer.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We're told that progressive politics equals compassion, inclusion and kindness. But shocking reactions to Ann Widdecombe's murder — celebrating her death and hoping she died in extreme pain — reveal the socialist left's blatant 'hate speech' hypocrisy and disturbing double standards of the highest degree.

Artificial intelligence is not merely forcing Christians to answer new ethical questions. AI is forcing the church to revisit much older theological ones: what it means to bear God’s image and which responsibilities can never be delegated to a machine.

The Covid lockdowns may not have been remotely effective, but at least they harmed millions of people and created long-lasting negative impacts that we’re still dealing with today. That’s the conclusion of a massive new body of research.

UK authorities are treating the murder of devout Christian and former British MP Ann Widdecombe as domestic terrorism.

Well said Mark. I would encourage all Christian pro-lifers to be willing to go out on the streets like my friend James in the photo. This is something that I have been doing for years in Brisbane as it is essential that we keep the plight of the unborn children in front of the eyes of our communities. This is the least we should be doing.
The church that I am a member of has never taken a stand on this issue that is, the way I see it, the most fundamental ‘right’ of all human rights. Why do I say that? Without the ‘right to life’ no other ‘right’ matters at all as you are denied life itself.
William Wilberforce was the driving force of the movement to free slaves and he was also the driving force of the Evangelical Revival in England in the 19th century. If only there was such a voice in the Church of England today.
Writing to MPs, and leaders is a good idea, but I noted that I didn’t have a response from either Liberal or Labor representatives especially when lobbying both parties re the Private Member’s Bill of Dan Andrews August 2008 for Late Term abortions. There is also a malaise amongst some Church Christians on this matter. It is horrifying that we’ve wiped out about a quarter of our population. This IS genocide on a grand scale. One day we will be held to account. We need to deeply repent and do what we can to save these precious little lives. Isn’t it better to give birth to life than death and give the baby to someone who really wants that little life?
