Why Are They Still Protesting About Gaza?

10 October 2025

The President of the United States is in the process of negotiating a historic ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. So why are pro-Palestinian protests still being planned? Now that there is a peace deal on the table, surely the goal of these rallies has been achieved, and all of the dreadful human suffering facilitated by Hamas ameliorated?

The fact that they are continuing, though, reveals the true motive… not to end the suffering of the people in Gaza, but to put an end to the nation of Israel. Ironically, therein is the true genocide.

Ever willing to play the victim, pro-Palestinian activists have objected that their right to free speech has been infringed because they have been banned from holding a protest rally at the Sydney Opera House. But this was only due to extreme public safety risk, as the forecourt can only hold approximately 6,000 people. There is nothing preventing them from holding their political pit party in places such as Hyde Park.

Terrible Ideology

When Damien Ridgewell, one of the organisers for the pro-Palestinian rallies, was asked by a reporter outside the Supreme Court why the protests were still going ahead—even though a forty-eight-hour ceasefire had been issued—he answered:

… this goes beyond the genocide which has happened over the past two years.

Obviously, it’s important because Israel has only been able to carry out a genocide because they have been armed by countries like Australia and the United States because of the political support that they’ve received from those governments.

We’ve seen hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have lost their life because of that complicity.

We need to end the policy of complicity with an apartheid regime which has been oppressing Palestinians since 1947.

One would think that the announcement of a ceasefire would be a cause for celebration, but not for these people. Peace doesn’t suit their political purposes as it doesn’t achieve their real ideological agenda.

The accusation of genocide is not only factually wrong—Israel could have wiped out everyone living in Gaza if it had wanted to—but what is now clear is that the true goal of the pro-Palestinian protestors is a genocide of the Jews from the land of Israel.

Just consider both the location as well as the timing of the protests being planned for this coming weekend. Not only did they want to use a major Australian landmark, but they wanted to do it on the anniversary of Hamas raping and killing more than 1,200 Israeli civilians (including 38 children) and taking 240 people hostage.

Total Annihilation

What many people fail to consider, though, especially in the West, is the religious dimension to this whole issue. Integral to Islamic theology is the destruction of the Jewish people. While their hostility to Israel may seem like only a geopolitical tension, the truth is it runs much deeper than that.

In Shia eschatology in particular, which is the religious expression energising the leadership of Hamas, Israel is seen as a symbol of corruption and injustice, especially in the ‘last days’. Hence, their anti-Zionism is more than just political; it’s profoundly eschatological and apocalyptic.

Scholars such as Dr Tim Orr insightfully explain how Islamic proselytisation seeks to work itself out in practice. As Dr Orr has written:

At the heart of this protest lies a theological worldview that fuses political Islam with revolutionary identity politics. Islam’s conception of the ummah, or global Muslim community, transcends borders, tying believers together through shared prayer, history, and sacred land.

The Palestinian cause, in particular, carries immense religious weight, as many Muslims believe the land of Palestine is waqf, a divinely ordained trust that cannot be ceded without betraying Islam. Radical Islamic movements like Hamas frame the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a cosmic struggle between faith and unbelief, dignity and humiliation—a framing that is also echoed by other Islamist groups such as Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Mainstream Muslims, while often taking a more tempered view compared to radical Islamic perspectives, are often exposed to rhetoric that vilifies Israel, especially through digital platforms and sermons by prominent clerics. This trend is observable in widely circulated religious broadcasts and social media channels that frame anti-Israel sentiment as a theological imperative.

Hence, this is why all of the rhetoric about ‘ethnic cleansing’ is not only ever going in one way, it’s explicitly stated in their mindless mantra: From the River to the Sea. The fact that so many well-intentioned—but terribly naïve—people marched across the Sydney Harbour Bridge a few weeks ago shows just what ‘useful idiots’ they were.

Not only that, but it also demonstrates not just how effective the pro-Palestinian propaganda campaign has been, but also why these pro-Palestinian protest rallies are not going to stop until every last Jew in the land of Israel is removed.

Back to pam bondi ,she’s vring coy and won’t disclose her religion but her enemies say she’s accepted money from the church of scientology .Now here’s the rub ,that’s a misnomer .When the CIA and IRS closed in on scientology and after Lafayette Ron Hubbards demise alone in some building out in the desert isolated etc , they told his wife that she could accept a pittance or they could jail her ,something about operation snow white or something reeking of cocaine? , She took the pittance Hubbard sold more books than Rowling and his scientologybooks weren’t cheap either ,but he’d sold over 80 million science fiction books before he created scientology He was one of the best selling authors in the world .Now there the original church of scientology remains intact and kept its name. The one you think is scientology, isn’t the cia and it’s jointly own it and had to name it COTS .the church of technical science .Thats the one Tom s in .They then built a nuclear proof underground depository to store all of Ron’s writings ,all the original s ,and then got concerned that’s it’s location had been breached and went and built another one in a new location Where his writings etc will be totally preserved for centuries

My concern is not trusting Hamas. They are like the scorpion.

A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: “I am sorry, but I couldn’t help myself. It’s my character.”

They have not been trustworthy in decades past, so it is difficult to see them starting now.
Perhaps some Arab States can apply enough pressure to make Hamas keep the peace agreement?

Thankyou from the very clear write up and explanations Mark which show that the Pro Palestinian protestors will continue to march and continue to be indoctrinated by the media- unless they study history in depth, understand the Holocaust and how propaganda was used, and read the Bible …For now they are blinded (like Greta on the flotilla- and full of misinformation and hate for Israel, as they have believed lies)
I thank God that the bible very clearly says God gave the land of Israel to Abrham and his seed and He said it would bless all nations. The fact that God gave victory to Abraham and different kings when Israel oebyed him, showed God was on their side (as long as they obeyed the word of God and obeyed the true prophets of God ). Israel continued to flourish for many years but when disobedient God said they would be scattered among the nations as a punishment but he promised blessing when they obeyed Him and a return to the land he had given.
If anyone traces the history of Israel, they can see there were different enemies rising up against her from Abraham’s time, King David’s time and during the reign of many other kings but God gave victory if they obeyed Him. (yet even in Jesus day the Romans were occupying the land God had given the jews, and he was born in a time of oppression by a foreign power yet Jesus referred to Gods people and land there and was born as their Jewish King)
Jesus made it clear God would still bless Israel and would allow Him to die on the cross there (Isaiah 53) and be raised form the dead in Israel. God also promised Jesus would come back to gather believers which includes the believing Jews and Zachariah, Ezekiel and other prophets as Jeremiah said the Jews would retun to their land)
The Bible never promised to exalt Mohammed or the believers of the Koran or buddha or other gods-neither did God promise these other religions the land of Israel. Instead, God gave the Hebrew race their land and their language, the Torah, the Ten commandments, His prophecies and His favour because he loved them. God, the Father and creator of all mankind and of the Hebrew race ordained this plan and no man can change the plan He has made, neither can Satan (the fallen angel ) change this fact. (Satan was defeated at the cross and remains under Gods control at all times.)
The world will not understand these things unless they seek God and ask for His wisdom and read the word of God and have their spiritual eyes opened. …Paul said ‘the god of this world had blinded their eyes’.
It remains a battle between God and Satan and God’s people against the dark forces of their world but we can pray into this and ask that His will be done, so that many see the truth and some come to know God personally and that he sent His son to die on a cross for all who believe – and that He gave the land to israel…

It’s always been about which leverage Islam could exercise to slaughter the Jews. Palestinians are the cause du jour. But it is always ultimately about slaughtering Jews and conquering the next piece of land for the ummah.

The “Pro-Palestine” movement is presented to us as the great moral crusade of all time; bar none. It gives those who participate in these protests a superior sense of moral purpose; they are the ‘heroes’ and ‘revolutionaries’ who command the moral high ground. Therefore there is a distinct element of self-glorification involved with many of the participants. To be seen bringing parts of the city to a standstill while while they take to the streets and public spaces waving their ‘Palestinian flags’ and punching the air with their fists gives them an ‘identity’ that they would otherwise lack. If they suppose that their ‘protests’ in Sydney, or anywhere else for that matter, are going to have even the least impact on current geopolitical realities, they delude themselves. But they ‘protests’ give them give them a sense of purpose in their lives. It is precisely the same with ‘climate change’ protesters; probably even more so. If the whole ‘climate change’ deception were to be laid to rest tomorrow, many of the ‘professional climate-change protesters’ would be utterly bereft. They simply wouldn’t know what to do with their lives.

Just adding- -what you said above Stewart is so true, re the protesters’ mindset…No wonder Jesus warned ‘do not be deceived’ as He knew we would live in days of great deception -warning too that ‘many would fall away’ from the faith.
It’s sad to see the pro-Palestinian and the climate change movements be so misled, so deceived and deluded and so very angry and aggressive. (the spiritual source and forces behind that are hidden beneath the anger, the ‘glorification’ of the cause and the undermining of law and order)….
May God help some see the Light and Truth of the Biblical right of Israel to exist- as God has ordained this….no matter how many flags are waved or slogans chanted, or marches held no matter who much aggression or anger- God is sovereign over Israel and Her need of protection. ‘He who watches over Israel neither slumbers or sleeps’
