Wind Holy Spirit Wheat Chaff

5786: A Year of Separation and Holy Spirit Wind

Intention

To discern the season of separation as the Holy Spirit breathes revival, purifying hearts and bringing in His harvest.

Scripture

“John answered them all, ‘I baptise you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand to clear His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.’”
– Luke 3:16–17

Reflection

I hear the word “separation” in my spirit for this year, which on the Hebrew calendar is the year 5786. It is a time marked by the breath of God — the wind of the Holy Spirit — moving across the threshing floor of His creation. When wind moves through grain, it separates wheat from chaff. In the same way, the Spirit is breathing across the earth to cleanse what is His.

We have long prayed for revival — for the harvest of souls. As harvest time arrives — and this is the season we are in — expect to see the effects of winnowing. For as John the Baptist declared, when the Messiah comes to baptise with the Holy Spirit and fire, His winnowing fork is in His hand.

Winnowing produces separation. Put another way, without winnowing, there is no separation – ergo, no salvation or sanctification. So winnowing is good, but disruptive.

Winnowing reveals what is of the Spirit and what is not. A mixture of the two will no longer be hidden among the whole amount. The comfortable blending of worldliness with faith will be blown away. As the Spirit moves, we will see those who choose to be sanctified by Him and those whose hearts are hardened.

We will see scales removed from eyes, demons cast off lives, weariness dissolved, trauma displaced. The oppression and deception that so many have been buried under will be lifted by His breath. Gone.

The Hebrew number 80 (Peh) represents the mouth, and six is the number of man. In 5786, God’s breath — carrying and activating His spoken word — meets humanity’s response. It is a time for our “yes” to be heard in Heaven. Just as Adam was formed and given life by the breath of God, so now the Spirit breathes upon those who choose connection over compromise. His breath sanctifies and protects.

5786 is also a season of undeserved favour, for the number five represents grace. There is still time. The wind is blowing to transform softened hearts. Jesus is calling, the Father is gathering, and the harvest will continue.

As we continue into 5787 and 5788, we are reminded that seven symbolises completeness and wholeness, meaning none shall be missed. Be encouraged: all that the Father gives to Jesus will be saved (John 6:37). Eight also represents new beginnings.

Let us be filled with hopeful expectation. The same wind that separates also revives. Every time you feel His Spirit stir in your heart, allow Him to remove what is chaff: pride, fear, offence, intolerance, wrong relationship and distraction. Allow Him to strengthen what is wheat: faith, love, obedience, good habits and right position.

When we give Him our “yes”, His breath (His Spirit) will do the rest. The wind will move through us, through our families, through the nations — until every ear has heard and every heart has decided.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You that Your Spirit is blowing across the earth in this season.

Breathe on me afresh and separate all that is not of You. Strengthen my “yes” to Your call, and let Your wind bring awakening to those I love. May Your winnowing produce a pure and holy harvest for Your glory. Amen.

This has been happening since Pentecost. This will continue to happen until Father God decides otherwise. 🙏

    Thanks Macaire 💖
We have been seeing a great separating in the body of Christ regarding Israel, and in the Conservative political world.
As you said, it’s a good thing.
    Bless you.

    Thanks for this Macaire,
I used to also produce words of encouragement for our church based on similar dates and what I thought was the Hebrew calendar (which is really God’s calendar, contrary to Samuels harsh and naive comments). That was at least until I discovered that the year 5786 is more a Pharisee date than the true one. My investigation into this has shown that the most accurate Hebrew Calendar is the one produced by the Essenes found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. They were basically the believers in Jesus prior to when He showed up, whilst the Pharisees, Sadducees, etc were effectively Jewish cults. The Pharisees did a lot of fiddling with dates and various other things in their attempt to cover up the obvious truth that Jesus really was who He said He was. And, the cover up continues today (For example, Isaiah 53, providing more clear facts pointing directly to Jesus, is not read in Jewish synagogues). The Dead Sea Scrolls calendar suggests we are in the final 50 years of the 6000 years from creation until the Millennial reign. So, people are correct in saying Jesus is coming soon, but not correct in trying to specify exact dates. I encourage you to research this more yourself. Ken Johnson has done some great work in this space. Please also forgive Samuel for his nonsense comments! The original Julian calendar had too many errors for continuing with it, but the Gregorian replacement we are stuck with is also error prone and not as accurate as the true Hebrew calendar, God’s calendar which of course has nothing to do with numerology at all, but God’s perfect timing and date setting. I bless you in your studies of these things.
