Strongest Woman Disqualified for Being Male
A male competitor briefly claimed the World’s Strongest Woman title, exposing once again the absurdity of ignoring biological reality in women’s sport.
The “strongest woman in the world” has finally been revealed — stop me if you’ve heard this one before — to be a man.
Yes, in the shock of the century, a bloke in a dress turned out to be stronger than a woman.
Scientists are stunned.
Journalists are confused.
Everyone else is rolling their eyes so hard they’ve sprained something.
Oranges and Apples
American competitor Jammie Booker took out the World’s Strongest Woman title on the weekend — albeit briefly — before officials were forced to admit the obvious: Booker was, in fact, a man identifying as a woman.
Organisers claimed they had no idea Booker was male, which raises concerning questions about the eyesight, hearing, and general brain function of said organisers.
Runner-up Andrea Thompson of Great Britain has now been upgraded to winner of the Strongest Woman Competition on the basis that she is actually a woman. In 2025, this counts as a plot twist.
Booker’s cover was blown after a 2017 YouTube video resurfaced in which Booker introduces “herself” as “a 21-year-old trans woman with a history of abuse, struggling to stay true to herself under the rule of her religious parents.”
Entering the Strongest Woman competition is certainly one way to “stay true”, though perhaps not quite what the inspirational-quote crowd had in mind.
For context: the men’s raw squat record is 490 kg. The women’s is 280 kg. Only in the modern West could someone look at those numbers and conclude, “Yep, seems like a fair contest.”
Presumably, Booker’s next move, now the jig is up, is to identify as a five-year-old and dominate the egg-and-spoon circuit. Gold medals for everyone… especially for the 90-kilo toddler.
Reality-Bending Reporting
But the most telling part of this saga isn’t the competition. It’s the reporting.
The UK Telegraph headlined the story:
“World’s Strongest Woman Disqualified Because They Were Born Male’.”
“They”?
“Born male”?
This is what happens when editors write with oven mitts on.
If you’re born male, you are male. And if you’re male, you’re not the world’s strongest woman.
Yet even when the truth finally elbows its way into the newsroom, it’s wrapped in half-truths and linguistic bubble wrap so no-one catches feelings.
Welcome to 2025: where reality wins… but only after being dragged, kicking and screaming, past the censors.
