Teacher Sacked England

Teacher Sacked for Telling a Muslim Student that England was a Christian Country

2 MINS

A teacher in the UK has been banned from working with children after telling a Muslim student that England was a Christian country.

King Charles is still head of the Church of England — at least until Buckingham Palace replaces it with the Department of Interfaith Harmony — but that minor detail didn’t save him.

The irony is that had he announced England wasn’t a Christian country but a proudly emerging Islamic emirate, he’d probably have been nominated for Teacher of the Year and given a diversity award.

Like I always say, if you want to upset a conservative, tell them a lie. If you want to upset a progressive, tell them the truth. But I digress.

Complaints and Sacking

The teacher made the comment while admonishing a group of Muslim students for using bathroom washbasins for ritual feet washing.

He pointed out that if they wanted to follow Islamic traditions there was a Muslim school down the road.

Three Muslim children filed written complaints against him.

Amazing. Imagine being offended in Saudi Arabia if you were told it was a Muslim country.

The three complaints were examined by nine people — the local safeguarding officer who is responsible for child safety, a detective sergeant from the child abuse investigation team, two social workers, an HR adviser and the school’s headteacher.

The teacher was then sacked for stating a fact about England, in England.

Fortunately, King Charles, as defender of the faith, came to the teacher’s aid.

I’m joking.

King Charles was likely too busy packaging up dates for Ramadan to even notice that someone was being persecuted for pointing out the existence of his own job title.

Teacher Wins Successful Appeal

The teacher succeeded in appealing the ban, without the King’s help, and is now working part-time at another school where I imagine he keeps his religious observations locked away like state secrets.

What this story really highlights is that anyone who doesn’t robotically repeat the government’s left-wing agenda is likely to be subject to a kind of Gestapo thuggery.

In the UK your colour and ethnicity seems to matter only if you are a Muslim. The moment you say you are a practising Christian, the fake mask of tolerance quickly falls away.

The reason is simple… Christianity offends Sir Keir Starmer’s pet potential voters.

All of this raises the question as to whether the English are prepared to tolerate this kind of extreme government sponsored abuse of citizens. I hope not.

A nation that forgets what it is eventually discovers it no longer exists.

In the meantime, if Brits want to keep their country, they should get back to church. Not that the Church of England is going to be much help, I’m afraid.

With today’s clergy, you’ll only hear of the horrors imposed on innocent peoples by evil colonialist Christians. You’ll also get trans love, net zero and every other tenet of the zealous left.

Much better to pray silently (in towns where that is still allowed).

‘Imagine being offended in Saudi Arabia if you were told it was a Muslim country’. But Britain is not Saudi Arabia, which does not have the freedom of religion democratic countries treasure – and I hope it never will be. The teacher also told the children that if they didn’t like it, they could go to a Muslim school. Imagine how offensive that would be in an Australian school.
The teacher was unwise and mistaken, but not a criminal, so his appeal was rightly upheld..But ‘England’ is not a Christian country in any but the most formal constitutional sense – and even then the King’s position has very little to do with it. He’s the Protector of the ( Anglican) Faith, not the ‘Head of the Christian Church’ as you put it.
Words have meaning. Your article needs less emotion and more accuracy. The problem in that case is not Islam per se but the woke philosophy that is attempting to suppress freedom of speech altogether. The young man is not a martyr.

Actually Joan, the monarch holds the title of “Supreme Governor of the Church of England” and also “Defender of the Faith”

The BBC reported last month that, and I quote, “King Charles becomes first head of Church of England to pray with the Pope”
