A Look Back on the Bondi Beach Massacre
The Bondi Beach massacre and global events are a wake-up call for Australia to repent, align with God’s purposes, and restore blessing through support for Israel.
Events That Shift Nations
October 7th 2023 turned the focus of the world to Israel and the Gaza war. We saw the news come streaming into our homes daily. In the same way, I believe the Bondi Beach massacre shifted Australia’s gaze. The news media flooded our screens with images and tributes.
Something has shifted.
Some say that the Gaza war indicated that the time of the Gentiles is coming to an end and the focus is returning to Israel and the Father’s purposes, end-time purposes.
Even now, here in Australia, through the Bondi Beach massacre on 14 December 2025, we see the Jewish community front and centre, on our screens daily. Could this be Father’s wake-up call to the Body of Christ in Australia and the nation of Australia to return our focus back to the God of Israel and His ways?
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. – Romans 1:16 (KJV)
The gospel goes to the Jew first and then to the Greek or to the Gentile.
We at the Canberra Declaration and other groups and congregations believe that we are seeing the beginning stages of a revival, a national return to God.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. – Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)
In recent times, Australia has been making a stance against Israel and in favour of the Two-State solution.
One quote states:
A Two-State Solution is a 21st-Century “FINAL SOLUTION”.
For Israel’s sake, do not support this genocidal plan! Bless Israel Groups
In one of my devotional times, I heard the Holy Spirit whisper these words to me:
“Watch and see what I will do to reverse this situation.”
Father God has His own unique way of bringing individuals and nations back to the path of life that leads to His heart.
We are living in days here in Australia that we have prayed into for decades, and recently He showed me that He has already begun to tip out the prayer bowls (Revelation 5:8 NKJV), the answers to our prayers, where we will see, as we are now seeing, divine interventions.
The Truth Versus Antisemitism
During the recent pro-Palestinian marches and in other areas, we have seen the chants of “from the river to the sea,” which really means: death to the people of Israel.
The battle has never been about the land, the Holy Land, the Land of Zion – the real underlying plan of the enemy of our souls is to eliminate the Father’s Beloved Chosen People through whatever means he has available at his fingertips.
There are many slang and slur words used for the Jews, but from God’s point of view, they are His treasured possession.
Diverse groups talk about the NOSE, about “Zionists”, about Soros or “Globalists” in a derogatory fashion, but the fact is that the Jewish people are His Treasured Possession.
TREASURED POSSESSION: segullah. Feminine noun. (Strong’s 5459)
Original word: סגלה – Sounds like: s’gool-lah
The first time segullah is mentioned in the Bible is in Exodus. In the third month after leaving Egypt, the Hebrew people entered the wilderness of Sinai. There they camped at the foot of the mountain while Moses went up and spoke with YHWH.
YHWH told Moses to say to the sons of Israel:
“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession [s’gullah] among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” (Exodus 19:4-6a)
This highlights the unique relationship between God and Israel.
Making a way where there is no way
Through prayer, many earthly situations are changed.
Part 1 – preparation through prayer
From what I understand in the prayer world of believers in Yeshua, I see the Lord using intercessors to do strategic prayer in regions.
One of these strategic prayer assignments took place in Tonga, where some of our intercessors from the Canberra Declaration and others prayed with the King of Tonga at the beginning of December 2025.
From what I understand, the King of Tonga dedicated his country to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and stated that Tonga was standing with Israel. This is a strategic Eastern Gate as it is on the International Dateline.
Bondi is also the Eastern Gate and was attacked.
Sydney Harbour Bridge is part of the Eastern Gate as well. Even though there was a pro-Palestinian march over the bridge, the Lord had organised prayer assignments before this event and after this event at the bridge, which I believe were significant.
In Jerusalem, the Eastern Gate is reserved for the Messiah to enter, and so I believe the Lord has been preparing the Eastern Gate of Australia to receive the King of Glory, who again will take His rightful place over this nation.
Part 2 – the preaching of the Gospel
Many of us are familiar with the scripture in Romans 1:16 (KJV) —
For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
The pastor in the video above came to the realisation of the centrality of Israel in Father’s purposes.
Large segments of the Body of Christ currently believe in Replacement Theology, saying that the Church has replaced Israel. This is not Father’s ultimate purpose. The Kingdom, the Bride of Christ, the One New Man – these are made up of Jews and Gentiles, peoples from all nations.
We are in a time where the Lord is lifting the veil not just for the Jewish people, as the Gospel is being preached, but also lifting the veil from the Body of Christ so that we can truly see that we have been grafted into the Olive Tree of Israel.
The Bondi Beach massacre, as horrible as it was, affected not just the Jewish community, but there is a ripple effect through the nation where we see true Australians rallying around the Jewish community with messages of compassion and support.
Through such a momentous event, to me it seems like the Lord is yelling at us through the Bondi Beach massacre as if to say, “Wake up, Australia!”
Even on New Year’s Eve, Sydney displayed the menorah on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. During the week of Chanukkah, the menorah was also displayed on the Opera House.
He is YELLING at us that the Gospel – His love, His redemption, His protection, His shalom goes to the JEW FIRST and then to the Gentiles.
This is our time, Australia, and the Lord is speaking to us in terms of what I call “divine order.” One preacher put it this way: “Divine alignment before divine assignment.”
Part 3 – Repentance
Australia has lost her blessing. Repentance is the answer.
It is time for Australia to repent and re-covenant our land to the Lord and to stand with Israel in order for the blessing to be returned to Australia.
There is a breach in the bridge between the two countries now that was not there before but by the grace of God this breach can be repaired.
Barbara and Norman Miller, of the Centre for International Reconciliation and Peace, and others have gone to Israel to demonstrate solidarity with Israel.
A national repentance is required.
We, as believers, the Body of Christ, can repent in “identificational” repentance. However, in the book of Nehemiah, we see the Lord’s blueprint. Ideally, the civic leaders and the spiritual leaders come together to bring restoration.
Nehemiah, in his role as cupbearer to the King of Persia, was in a significant role in that kingdom and represents civic leadership.
Whereas Ezra, who was a priest and a scribe, led a spiritual revival in regard to the Law and the people’s hearts returning to God.
Israel and the Jewish people need to be restored in the hearts and minds of Australian people both in the civic world, the politicians and in the ecclesiastical world, the Church.
We as a nation are off course, and the Lord is graciously trying to rectify our position so that we come back into divine alignment for His purposes.
It is also my conviction that with all our noble desires and goals to do with evangelism and revival for Australia these will not fully happen unless we are brought back into alignment with our older brother Israel and Father God’s way of doing things.
Curse or Blessing – We Decide
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
— Genesis 12:3
Also
“Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse them?
May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”
— Numbers 24:9
This was part of God’s eternal covenant with Abraham and the people of Israel.
When Australia, through Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong, stood against Israel in the Hamas war and declared that they supported the Two State Solution, especially at the United Nations, they actually took Australia out of her divine alignment and put this nation under a curse.
Subsequently, we saw the terrorists had a gateway in which to operate and brought forth destruction of the lives of the Jewish community, with 15+ dead and 40 injured. At the massacre, 14 people died, and the gunman was killed. Subsequently, two people have died in hospital as well.
Only repentance by political and spiritual leaders in Australia can reverse this curse and bring Father’s blessing back to our land.
The Eastern Gate, of which I believe Bondi Beach is a part, is the gate where the King of Glory is desiring to enter. Out of this disaster, it could be a spiritual gateway for the new day that the Lord desires to give us.
Our Eastern Gate has now been contaminated by Jewish blood spilled on Bondi Beach, but through repentance, the blessing of Almighty God will return.
It is our desire to put Israel into her rightful place so that the blessing can return to Australia and life in all its abundance can flow forth again.

Four thousand years of Jewish history come to life in Arthur Szyk’s Visual History of Israel, completed by the artist in 1948, the year of Statehood, and printed in 1949.
Prayer
Father God, nothing is too hard for You. If we draw nigh to You, You will draw nigh to us. By that grace of God, I bless Australia with the humility that is needed at this time to return to Your heart through Yeshua the Messiah, so that we can walk again in Your ways and see a true restoration. Ba Shem Yeshua, Amen.

Appeal for the Bondi Terrorist Attack Victims
Celebrate Israel, in partnership with the Canberra Declaration and other supporters, have organised a relief fund appeal for the victims and families of the Sydney Bondi Beach terrorist attack.
Our giving team is called Celebrate Israel Australia on the platform and is part of a much larger appeal run on the Charidy giving website. All donations are tax-deductible and will be administrated by the Jewish United Support Fund.
The relief fund will provide direct financial support, helping families begin to rebuild their lives after this tragedy. Assistance is especially needed to cover essential commitments when the family’s primary breadwinner has been killed. Find out more about this appeal on The Daily Declaration here.
Please stand alongside the Jewish community as a visible demonstration of God’s love to them at this critical time of need. So far, over $29,000 has already been donated, and we prayerfully seeking to raise $100,000.

“This is a strategic Eastern Gate as it is on the International Dateline.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is part of the Eastern Gate as well.”
What on earth!? Its a bridge full stop. This is like the out there stuff I used to hear when I was in the Assemblies of Gods church in Richmond Melbourne yrs ago in the 80s.
Can you please prove the existence of these so called “Gates” through Gods Word.
“When Australia, through Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong, stood against Israel in the Hamas war and declared that they supported the Two State Solution, especially at the United Nations, they actually took Australia out of her divine alignment and put this nation under a curse”
I can tell you now it happened way before just that moment in time. So Australia was in divine alignment until that happened? Come off it, can anyone say that up until that moment Australia was even a shadow of being Godly? Anything but and before you were even born Nel.
When Australia, through Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong, stood against Israel in the Hamas war and declared that they supported the Two State Solution, especially at the United Nations, they actually took Australia out of her divine alignment and put this nation under a curse.
Hang on. JD is right to point out the error in this. So Australia was a blessed country until 2025 and then we were cursed?
Australia’s first formal support for the two-state solution dates back to 1947, when its Foreign Minister, Dr. H.V. “Doc” Evatt, chaired the UN committee (UNSCOP) that recommended the two state solution (Resolution 181).
Australia was the first nation in the world to sign UN Resolution 181 in 1947. So was this the divine alignment you speak of?
Since 1947, successive Australian governments have maintained a long-standing bipartisan commitment to a two state solution. Is this the divine alignment?
Oh and on another note, both you and your husband are always telling us that we Christians need to repent.
But does our older brother ever need to repent and turn to Christ? There is never any mention of this. Or are they already ‘saved’ as God’s treasured possession (even though they reject Jesus)?
That’s some pretty dodgy dispensational doctrine right there. Or with all your talk about Chanukkah and menorah’s and constant stars of David in your posts (never a cross) are you trying to convert us to Judaism?
Thankyou Nel for your words! This puts everything into perspective of where we, as a Nation, are in Spiritual alignment with Israel! There is much that we don’t understand of the mysteries of our God and His plans for Israel and the Nations, but as we observe what’s happening in the world, and in Australia, we can see Gods mighty hand at work in our day! God bless Australia!
Yes Trina. I agree. But the mystery has been revealed. Colossians 1:26-27.
Jesus provides salvation for both Jew and Gentile. This is not Gentiles replacing the Jews, we are both believers in Christ.
It’s us Believers who are now God’s chosen people under the new covenant.
It’s a misinterpretation to claim that God has a ‘Jew First’ priority in 2026. Romans 1:16 clearly refers to the original sharing of the gospel. It does not refer to the idea that God loves Jews (who don’t believe in Christ) more than he loves us Christians.
When Nel claims:
‘His love, His redemption, His protection, His shalom goes to the JEW FIRST and then to the Gentiles’ this is not true. His love, His redemption, His protection, His shalom goes to those who believe in Jesus. Those who reject Jesus do not receive these things.
The good news was first to be preached to the Jews and then the Gentiles. A great example of this is when Paul went to Ephesus. At first he preached in the Synagogue and for three months he tried to get the gospel through the Jews (JEW FIRST). After three months of getting nowhere he stormed out of the Synagogue and went and taught at the School of Tyrannus, where his audience was gentiles who absolutely lapped up the word, loved Jesus, got baptised in the Holy Spirt.
That’s the birth of Christianity right there. That’s when Christianity split from Judaism. Paul never returned to the synagogues.
Nel wants us to return to the synagogues. She wants us to celebrate all the old Hebrew holy days and festivals. She wants us to pray that God will bless and protect the Jews (but not for their salvation).
The Jews are not replaced, we have joined with them in Christ. But do we fellowship together in the synagogue? No. We fellowship together in the School of Tyrannus.
And how do we know this? How do we know that it’s not God’s plan for us as Christians to do what Nel says and join the Jews in their faith and put the Jews first in everything we do?
Because God has already spoken. In AD70 God absolutely smashed the temple to the ground.
The body of Christ is the new temple. Gentiles and Jews together. Christ focused, not Israel focused.
I am sorry to see these good Christians attacking Nel so harshly. Would our Lord Jesus speak to his faithful servant this way? Hard hearts towards Jews have found a target in Nel.
D. Campbell
D Campell.
Thank you for describing JD & I as good Christians. And yes good Christians subscribe to Sola Scriptura!
Sorry that you see our attacks on Nel as harsh, but we are not attacking her. Both her and Kym are wonderful people, the type of people you’d take out to Yappari Steak Mt Gravatt to chew the fat.
There was a time when dispensationalism was just gobbled up without question. JD mentions his time in the 80s at Richmond AOG. For me it’s been my time in the AOG right up until just recently.
I was watching atrocities committed every night on my TV screen in Gaza, but told by people in my church oh don’t believe that, that’s all leftist propaganda, ‘Israel are God’s chosen people, they’d never do anything wrong’… and the more that I saw that Israel’s retribution on Gaza was completely disproportionate to Oct 3, and raised questions about it, I was told ‘Oh you’ve just fallen for the jihadist propaganda regime’… and I’m like, no I’ve just been watching the news and seeing the carnage that Israel have wrecked’.
And then I realised, these people are lying to me. And in that moment I felt a complete release. Suddenly I felt a freedom to explore the scriptures for myself.
This is something these people try and discourage. That guy from freedom has a voice often waves his bible in the air and proclaims ‘I’ve have researched all the scriptures thoroughly myself so you don’t have to!’ or ‘Trust me, I have read all the scriptures so that we can all understand together’.
Dangerous stuff.
What is their agenda? Why do they lie when clearly the evidence is right there before us?
Look these dispensationalists clearly have an agenda. Their goal is to construct a 3rd temple. That’s it. Plain and simple.
A temple where they can practice all of Nel’s favorite festivals (just look at her posts so you can see what that means), and a temple where they can once again engage in animal sacrifice.
Nel doesn’t mention it. But that’s her final goal. Her and Kym’s goal before they die is to go to Jerusalem once the third temple is completed, buy a goat, slice its throat and submit it as blood sacrifice to their god.
Why else would they be proclaiming a 3rd temple?
100% unfounded LIES !!
We are in principle against the 3rd temple as Jesus is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the earth and sacrifices are no longer required.
However the 3rd temple as inevitable, and part of prophecy clear from scripture; which does not make the 3rd temple a good idea.
DO NOT PUT FALSE WORDS IN OUR MOUTHS !!

Col,
You are welcome here to challenge ideas, doctrines, interpretations of Scripture and even strongly held theological positions. But The Daily Declaration has a clear commenting policy (https://dailydeclaration.org.au/comments/), and you’re in breach of it here. Your comments above move beyond critique into imputing motives, hidden agendas and spiritual states to named individuals.
In this thread and others, you have:
– Attributed extreme intentions to people without evidence
– Suggested bad faith and covert agendas
– Speculated publicly about others’ theology, salvation and ultimate goals
That crosses the line of DD’s commenting policy, which requires disagreement to remain respectful, constructive and focused on ideas rather than personal insinuations.
You are free to argue against dispensationalism and critique views on Israel, the Church or eschatology. You are not free to repeatedly assign motives, accuse others of deception, or portray fellow Christians as secretly pursuing sinister or heretical ends.
This comment is a formal warning.
If this pattern continues — even if the language is dressed up as “questions” or rhetoric — your commenting privileges will be revoked.
We want thoughtful, charitable debate here. That requires you to argue the ideas without attacking the character, faith, or intentions of others.
Please take this seriously going forward. God bless,

Nel has a prophetic voice, and sees by the revelation of Holy Spirit.
Her scripture quotations are accurate and enlightening to those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.
Our policy on the Daily Declaration is we are trying to have kind and gracious disagreement to model free speech to the world. We can disagree about things and still love each other. If people want to move outside these boundaries they have to go and comment elsewhere!
The thing is that Kym has always been gracious. And in the end that is why I agree with him on dispensationalism.
Not because of what he said, but because of the fact he was so gracious and respectful to me even when I was abusing him.
He is clearly such a wonderful man.
No personal attacks allowed, that is un Australian and un Christian, we can hold differences in respect as none of us has it all together, we all have bad theology somewhere and we so need each other to help us see clearly, humbly we comment , tentatively we question and critique out of loving others and seeking to understand. Anything else is dangerous ground.
Yes AA, you’re right and I do want to say sorry to you for me being out of line.
The great thing is, I’ve now fallen into line. I’ve read all Kym says and he’s convinced me.
There are two destinies. One for Israel (God’s chosen people) and one for us.
God bless DD…. The pointy end of the spear. Modelling Christian based dialogue to the world. ❤️
Amen! Pearl you sum it up perfectly!
The pointy end of the spear – two sides to it. One side – the Jews and their inheritance as God’s chosen people, and us, the other side who will be whisked away in the rapture!
Amen! The pointy end is not about us, but God’s chosen people.
G’day
We went to the St Peter’s Cathedral evening 22nd Jan 2026 for the National Day of Mourning 6PM prayer service for the victims of the Bondi Beach massacre.
The Cathedral was very well attended with around 400 people.
Many key Jewish community leaders were there, and we had a good catch up.
Around 40 Federal, State, and local politicians were there including the Adelaide Lord Mayor and MLC Dennis Hood.
Sadly, Sen. Penny Wong attended which was a huge insult to the Jewish community.
In chatting with Norman Schueler of the Jewish Board of Deputies, Labor/Wong’s policies (i.e. recognition of Palestine) were a direct contributor to the massacre.
We have been working with Norman over the last 2+ years against antisemitism.
We pray Wong repents and genuinely turns to Christ (she attends a woke/progressive/gay affirming Uniting Church).
Please keep the Jewish community and our Government in your prayers.
The service was very respectful in a mainly Anglican liturgical format, led by Rev Lyn Arnold (former SA Labor Premier), Rabbi Franklyn Salzman of Beit Shalom Synagogue (Progressive Judaism) prayed and lit a candle.
15 large candles were lit for the 15 dead, which will burn for 24 hours.
Then everyone had the opportunity to light a small candle.
Blessings Be’shem Yeshua
I retract those comments.
I apologise for making them and make it clear that I was completely in error in suggesting that the Farnik’s were using their ministry to raise money to fund the establishment of a 3rd temple and had intentions of making animal sacrifices in the temple. This was indeed a false assumption on my part and I am sorry for making that error.
Kym and Nel are doing great work in the Hebrew renewal movement and educating us Christians on how we need to reject supersessionism and embrace Israel. Sadly, at first I was resistant to their ‘Hebrewisation’ of Christianity and pushed back against what they are doing. Now it’s been explained to me I can understand.
On another note, please don’t be critical of Sen Wong. Seems she can do no right. If she turns up she’s criticised, but if she stays away it’s worse.
In the old days we used to love it when our enemies would turn up at our services – that would be a victory. And while I can understand the sensitivities involved, yes we should pray for her, but we should also welcome her. We welcome her not because we agree with her values. We welcome her because we agree she is valued. When I look at Penny Wong I know she would make a wonderful Christian.
Good on you Nel and Kym for attending the service.
And once again, sorry for suggesting your ministry support for Israel and their establishment of a 3rd temple, included you going to participate in animal sacrifices in it along with our Jewish brethren.
Yevarekhekha Adonai veyishmerekha.
