Iron Lady: Pauline Hanson Vows Energy Revival, Immigration Halt, and an End to the Woke War on Everything
Australia’s “Iron Lady” has delivered her first formal address to the National Press Club of Australia.
While voter support is propping Pauline Hanson up as the people’s representative, the One Nation senator’s presence was not unusual.
Nationals’ leader Matt Canavan gave his first talk on April 8. While there, Canavan used the opportunity to platform what he called a Patriotic Agenda for National Economic Revival.
Both Hanson and Canavan were taking part in the NPCA’s “Leaders Address” series.
The significance of the two addresses isn’t just “historic.” It’s further proof there’s an unprecedented voter-led tsunami bearing down on an overweight and arrogant bureaucratic blob.
These are non-woke veteran politicians being invited into an elite space to preach common sense content on the fourth estate’s stage.
Pauline Hanson’s address declared as much.
Key areas of concern included housing, mass immigration, Islamism, energy poverty induced by the climate change con, transgenderism and artificial intelligence.
Energy
If elected in 2028, One Nation will go nuclear.
According to Hanson, this will involve meeting common sense environmental standards.
Hanson is “not opposed to renewable energy.” She’s opposed to the ideology.
One Nation will put everything into the energy mix, Hanson asserted, and “get ideology out of the way.”
This is about lifting Turnbull and Bowen’s renewables debt burden on the sound premise that “energy is the backbone of prosperity.”
“Cost of energy feeds into everything we use,” Hanson stated.
“That is your cost-of-living crisis. The central source of poverty.”
Hanson committed to working towards empowering enterprise by lowering the cost of production and protecting prime agricultural land from Turnbull and Bowen’s “useless [net zero] transmission lines”.
Immigration
Next to making Australia an energy powerhouse and lowering electricity bills, is stopping the practice of bringing more people into the country than there are houses.
For instance, the Albanese government oversaw the influx of “1.27 million people” in their first term.
“That’s more than 423,000 per year. A total of more than 1.9 million people arrived in Australia from mid-2022 to mid-2025,” Hanson recalled.
This has to stop, she reasoned, because the evidence shows that “everything is unbearably dearer.”
The crisis is so big, “charities are turning people away.”
As part of the party’s war on regressive left-wing programs, One Nation will implement policies to prevent the Islamist and transgender ideologies from redefining Australian culture and society.
For instance, a Hanson-led government would “restrict immigration from places that promote radical Islam.”
Put simply, they are not afraid to “fight Islamism.”
This is because the political movement masquerading as a religion is incompatible with Australia’s Judeo-Christian culture, civics, and values. (paraphrased)
“Only a fool would ignore the growing problem of immigration,” Hanson remarked.
Consequently, One Nation will end mass immigration and shut down the open borders backdoor involving international students.
On multiculturalism, she said, Australia “cannot be a multicultural society. We are a multiracial society, but we must be monocultural.”
“Australians must live under one cultural umbrella.”
“Under the failed policy of multiculturalism, all cultures are allowed equivalence to ours. Surely opposing that is not racist; it’s common sense.”
For example, “how can you generate social cohesion if people can’t speak the language?”
If you don’t want to abide by Australian law and the Australian way of life, there should be no place for you in Australia. For too long, an alternative approach has been tolerated. This has undermined our society and fragmented many of our communities. Left unchecked, it will… pic.twitter.com/03gUlPMJyq

Islamism and Transgenderism
One Nation isn’t afraid, Hanson stated.
They won’t be turning “a blind eye” like most political parties do because they’re frightened to call a spade a spade.
“It’s time we woke up,” she argued.
“Western civilisation and its values are under siege. The people to whom I speak are fed up with hate preachers in some Sydney Mosques.”
“If they hate this country, they should be told to leave!”
Calling Islamism a cancer, and implying that the transgender (mind virus) was an infection, Hanson commented that “like militant Islam”, the militant trans movement “must be confronted.”
With politicians and institutions brainwashed by the transgender “campaign”, “only One Nation would provide the opposition needed.”
They will, Hanson explained, end equity policing and the culture of fear that stops people from speaking basic biological truths.
Without promising a miracle cure to housing and cost-of-living pressures, Hanson reaffirmed the commitment to resolve the crisis.
ABC and Welcome to Country
Other standout comments: SBS will be retired. The (One Nation-hating) ABC will be reformed. Cities access will be subscription-based. Regional and rural Australians will still have access.
The speech wasn’t without trigger points. Hanson began by refusing to deliver a Welcome to Country, stating,
“Don’t expect a divisive Welcome to Country from me — this beautiful country belongs to all Australians born here and those who have joined us.”
Instead, Hanson acknowledged veterans past, present and emerging, saying,
“I would like to acknowledge the men and women that have sacrificed their lives for our democracy, our freedom and our country.”
“And also, to those migrants, those people who have worked extremely hard, and those born here, with their blood, sweat and tears to build this nation into the beautiful country that it is today.”
Safety Breach
Also worth mentioning, left-wing activist group GetUp seemingly attempted to unnerve the One Nation leader.
GetUp allegedly interrupted the speech by dropping a sign from a projector screen located behind Hanson.
The group claimed responsibility for the serious safety breach via the ABC.
Rise in Polls
Contrary to Team Albanese’s claims that it’s all fake, One Nation’s rise is the result of voter momentum.
This looks a lot like the same momentum that flung chaotic Kevin Rudd Incorporated into office, and booted the competent, but cocky and overly complacent Howard government out.
Short of arresting Hanson (who’s already been there, done that), this is “hashtag Kevin07” territory. It’s momentum that Albo won’t be able to halt, let alone replicate.
The party is a political powerhouse because they’re aiming to remove the Uni-party’s destructive, suffocating grip on Australian life, livelihoods and civil liberties.
All of which is antithetical to Team Albo’s socialist net zero nanny state utopianism.
Even One Nation’s critics, like Matt Canavan, are now acknowledging just how integral Pauline’s Australia First brand is to winning in 2028.
Hanson’s first speech to the National Press Club only serves to vindicate that.

Great article Rod!!!!!
Hi Rod,
1,000 % with Senator Hanson’s speech. i still remember her ABC interview with Maxine Mckew in 1997 in which she stated, ” but Maxine, all I’m proposing is what John Howard said he would do, but did not do”. Mckew replied, “oh come on Pauline, you don’t expect a politician to keep their word, do you?” Pauline ( in her political naiveity) was dumbfounded by such a cynical accusation.
Well, we’ve got news for the Uniparty: here comes Pauline, who WILL absolutely keep her word and blast political hypocrisy WITH ALL OF ITS LIES AND DECEPTIONS, out of the water.
This is the leader Australia needs!
come on, Australia.
KIND REGARDS.
