The Infinite Circle of the Socialist Idiot

The Infinite Circle of the Socialist Idiot

2.9 MINS

A look at the recurring cycle of socialist revolutions promising utopia and delivering collapse — and how Mexico City’s push to restore statues of Castro and Guevara reveals this pattern persists today.

A revolutionary identifies cracks in society. He cries out to the heavens that capitalism is the problem. His cronies hear him, but so do enough “useful idiots” to enable him to seize power. He implements socialism.

The economy stagnates and shrinks, productive members of society flee, shortages mount, and anyone who criticises is beaten. The revolutionary, then — reigning over the ruins — shouts that what occurred was not “true socialism” and proposes plunging even deeper into the abyss to achieve it.

This vicious cycle — which has even entered popular culture as a meme — unfortunately leaves a trail of bones, broken families, and shattered lives. Mongolia, Cuba, East Germany, North Korea, Venezuela, Laos. The promise of achieving an authentic socialist system appeals to a utopia rooted in envy and resentment toward the successful. And its ranks are swelled, for the most part, by those drawn in by these base passions.

The base of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) — perhaps the future name of the Democratic Party? — consists largely of individuals with high levels of education but modest incomes or declining economic mobility.

According to analyst Nate Silver, this core group combines university-educated cultural status with financial insecurity.

I predict that, if they succeed, their revolution will promise to lead them to paradise but will land them in hell. And their conclusion will be that they simply didn’t walk far enough toward the horizon.

“Utopia Is for Walking”: Díaz-Canel’s Cuba

Along these same lines, in a recent interview, Cuban dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel addressed the question of whether Cuba could emerge from its economic crisis. “Utopia is on the horizon,” he said. “When we walk two steps, utopia recedes two steps. And the horizon moves ten steps ahead. What is utopia for? For walking.”

And while the tyrant plays at being a poet, “real” socialism causes blackouts lasting days; the meagre food supply rots in unplugged refrigerators; schools are left without teachers and children spend hours doing nothing; and anyone who takes to the streets to demand freedom ends up beaten, imprisoned, or both.

Advocating for an ideology that causes such things is the mark not only of an idiot, but of someone deeply resentful and consumed by envy. It is the typical progressive who cries, “Burn it all down!” without realising that, after the burning, he too will be consumed by the flames.

There are even those who love this suicidal idea so much that they worship the symbols of oppression and refuse to let go of their altars.

Mexico City’s Monuments to Murderers

Recently, the Mexico City government announced plans to “rebuild” the sculptures of Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara — statues that Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, the mayor of the Cuauhtémoc borough, had removed last year.

She had ordered the removal of those life-size figures to reject the history of oppression both historical figures inflicted upon Cuba. Yet now, the capital’s government insists on installing them at a different location in the city. Why? Ideological affinity with two compulsive murderers.

To make matters worse, the Secretariat of Culture will use taxpayer money to create the sculptural ensemble known as Encuentro (Encounter).

Public servants with the moral integrity of Rojo de la Vega are a rarity in Latin America. Thugs, on the other hand, are in plentiful supply.

She has faced criticism not only for removing the Castro and Guevara monument but also for briefly arresting activists who — during a march celebrating the Cuban Revolution’s anniversary in January — vandalised public property while demanding the return of the statues.

Ideology Over Humanity

It is incredible that, despite such close geographical and cultural ties, some Mexicans fail to understand the suffering endured by the Cuban people. That political blindness can only be explained by ideological glaucoma.

The socialist idiot’s infinite loop does not necessarily stem from a lack of education or knowledge, but rather from the insidious supremacy of ideology over the understanding that “the other” is a human being.

Socialism is anti-human — not only because it disregards the nature of the individual, but because it is willing to refuse to see the causes of suffering if doing so serves its suicidal narrative. Worse still, it weaponises base passions against the common man, all while expecting him to applaud and venerate it in the end.

This article accurately depicts the suffering under neo-Marxist socialism but fails to identify the Biblical antidote. The young people that get entangled in Marxism’s envy and festering hatreds are trapped by demons. They are like the fresh leaves of a sturdy tree whose roots are constantly nourished by two polluted streams of thinking.
The first of those polluted streams is Marx’s pseudo-scientific belief that life is a gigantic biochemical accident. Darwin hoped that might be true but insisted publicly that such a claim was beyond his evidence. Marx brushed Darwin’s objections aside because a world with no spiritual components was central to his claim that history was nothing more than a materialistic struggle between the proletariat and the bourgeoise.
If, as Marx asserted, life is a biochemical accident, individual people are profoundly insignificant and of no value except as economic units. That is why 20th century Marxists dictators had no compunction about murdering 127 million of their own citizens.
That link between Marxist brutality and the Marxist worldview needs to be explained repeatedly before people understand that there is a battle raging for control of our minds. 2 Cor 10:3-6 tells us that destroying Marxist and all other unbiblical arguments is part of “the good works that God prepared beforehand, that we (Christians) should walk in them” (Eph 2:8-10).
To understand the second polluted stream that feeds Marxism requires some biblical background. Mammon (see Matt 6:24 and Luke 16:10-13) is the only demon who competes with God for human affections. If we love money, riches, or power more than God we are worshiping Mammon. So, Christians need to avoid that trap as we participate in the biblical system of private enterprise described in picturesque biblical language as follows:
“they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and none shall make them afraid”, Micah 4:4
“And Judah and Israel dwelt in safety, from Dan even to Beersheba, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, all the days of Solomon.” 1 Kings 4:25.
These verses portray the wonderful economic security and independence we can enjoy when we work hard and build assets. When those verses were written, people worked with God by planting trees that became capital assets as God blessed them with rain. The trees not only kept producing each year, but also supplied lovely, sheltered areas for relaxing with family and friends.
In other words, God’s system of economics operates when people work with God using their God-given creative talents to produce things that bless others. Christians in an economic system love their neighbours by exchanging good value. Lots of Christians acting that way create a prosperous community. It happens when people don’t just work but work with God to bless others.
That kind of work is worship – a word that derives from the old English word “worthship”, which means to show God His worth. God wants us to work, employing all His gifts in working with Him to bless others. Charging interest, for example, is condemned throughout the Bible because it allows someone to enjoy the fruits of other people’s worthship without contributing to the worthship of the community. Even interest as low as 1% is condemned in Neh 5:11 because instead of loving our neighbours it oppresses them.
Sadly, Mammon forged a stronghold in our economic system in 1545 when England legalised the charging of interest against the wise biblical counsel of the church. The effects were not noticed because Christians invented science in the 1600s, which led to the prosperity of the Industrial Revolution that began in the of the 1700s. Now, however, we are paying the price.
We are left with a few big banks that enjoy the privilege of being licenced by government to create 97% of the nation’s money as interest bearing credit. These powerful banks show little concern for the national interest as they pursue lending policies that bring them the highest profit.
For example, lending money for asset speculation such as purchasing existing property, or margin trading in shares, forex, and commodities, or private equity deals such as leveraged buyouts. This speculation adds nothing to GDP but it inflates the price of assets, which causes boom and bust cycles in asset prices.
The social effects are catastrophic. Young people can’t afford a home so many put off having children. To prevent the economy from grinding down governments bring in millions of migrants, many of whom are incompatible with the biblical basis of our culture and legal system. All the while banks and wealth grow more and more centralised providing fertile ground for Marxists to preach against “the evils of capitalism” and its support among Christians.
Paul says the Holy Spirit has given us the weapons to destroy such arguments. We need to be able to explain the biblical beliefs that our forebears used to build our justice, freedom, and prosperity and separate those Christian beliefs from the way Mammon has distorted God’s system of private enterprise. To succeed we will need to knuckle down to studying the whole Bible and studying the great movements of history that the Bible points us to.

Marxism, Communism, Socialism, Democratic Socialism etc. all fail on the fact they do not have a right/entitlement to the fruit of my (or your) labour.

People of low IQ , Envy , Greed , and often Psychopaths are supporters of Marxist murderers because they dream of Power over others ( to kill the true intellectuals and seize their property). Inevitably, they destroy the country’s economy and bring poverty and Repression for all but the Party’s cadres who become very wealthy at the expense of the People.. See DVD “Death of Stalin ” for the terror they bring to very ordinary, not involved in politics, people. The UK is the birthplace of Communism, the Fabian Society , and every form of Marxism .We have the UK to thank for giving sanctuary to Marx (a Wanted Revolutionary in 1848). When the Russian Communists were bankrupt after the 1917 Revolution , and the people were starving , and it looked like the Tsarist Whites would defeat the Communists, who rescued the Communist Regime ? Greedy UK (especially Queen Mary ) who could not resist buying at a discount much of the jewellery the Communists had stolen from the murdered Royal Family and aristocrats . It was the UK which helped with Bank Loans the USSR to start industrialising with railroads and factories, and supplied arms and food. In this way, the Communist regime, which should have collapsed , survived while Stalin murdered millions of ordinary , innocent people and Britain looked the other way ! And,Stalin’s side-kick, Beria, raped and murdered ( thousands ? )of women and small children. Ditto with Mao’s China , which, was able to survive with the same assistance , but, this time from the USA ! History repeats itself because of the LOW IQ of the general population and the cunning of a few Con Men and women assisted by the big Powers of the Day.
