The past weekend saw a series of protests crop up around the United States. Most protestors — notably those participating in “No Kings” events — targeted President Donald Trump and his administration, but other conservatives and Christians also became the centre of attention.

Recent events in Melbourne have exposed the increasing level of left-wing violence in Australia. Left-wing “issue-motivated groups” are increasingly the perpetrators of violence, not the victims.

If Americans can ditch the Woke left and embrace liberty, merit, and common sense, then so too can the rest of the world, including Australia. The importance of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States is impossible to overstate.

The President of the United States is in the process of negotiating a historic ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. So why are pro-Palestinian protests still being planned? Now that there is a peace deal on the table, surely the goal of these rallies for Gaza has been achieved?

The assassination of Charlie Kirk is a ‘wheat and tares’ moment. It certainly is making clear where many people are at. Many are now having a rethink of both their secularism and their leftism.

We must adopt the apostle Paul’s model of persuasion in Athens, as Charlie Kirk did across America on so many university campuses. There is great power in civility, restraint and decency. That’s Charlie Kirk’s enduring legacy: he always enjoyed talking with his opponents.

Sunday's March for Australia had me completely baffled. For a moment there, I thought Australians had rediscovered civic engagement which, as we all know, would have spelled the end for our fragile democracy.
