Sometimes we hear a story that really shocks us to the core, and it should! Human trafficking is such a subject.

Some months back, I read a story about paedophilia that compelled me to write an article.

Do I have a feel-good fuzzy story for you today? Alas, no. However, I want to share with you a story of bravery, sacrifice and hope. That’s a reasonable trade, I think.

Operation Underground Railroad

End Child Trafficking — Operation Underground Railroad (ourrescue.org) is leading the fight against sex trafficking and sexual exploitation with four bold strategies. I encourage you to visit their website and make yourself aware of their amazing work, a true light in a black and evil underground world.

“Tim Ballard spent more than a decade working as a Special Agent for DHS, assigned to Internet Crimes Against Children, (ICAC) task force and deployed as an undercover operative for the US Child Sex Tourism Jump Team.

He has worked in that role and since in every type of case in the fight to dismantle child trafficking rings. He’s worked in the United States and multiple foreign countries to infiltrate and dismantled dozens of these organizations and rescued children from slavery and exploitation.

While working for the government, Ballard saw how much more is needed in the fight against child trafficking and exploitation across the world. In 2013, he and his team of former government operatives left the security of their careers to accomplish the work of rescuing children as a private foundation- Operation Underground Railroad. At O.U.R, Tim has created a team that can work in any jurisdiction and in conjunction with law enforcement to rescue children directly. That team exists today and operates all over the world.”

Pretty good credentials and aims, I’m sure you’d agree.

Compelling

Sound of Freedom is a film about this brave man’s mission to save children.

It stars Jim Caviezel as Tim Ballard and is directed by Eduardo Verastegui, a Mexican Catholic filmmaker brave enough to report and bring to life the depth of human suffering and depravity in the real world, a world that Hollywood often supports.

FlashPoint host Gene Bailey interviewed the trio:

Human trafficking is the fastest-growing international crime network the world has ever seen; it has surpassed the illegal arms trade and is due to surpass the illegal drugs trade.

“You can sell a bag of cocaine once, but you can sell a child five to ten times a day. It is a US$150-billion-a-year industry. The USA is the #1 consumer of child sex in the world, and Mexico is #1 in supply of these children. They are raped 10-15 times a day for years and when their ‘owners’ have tired of them, they are used for human organ harvesting on the black market.

Every hour 6 children disappear in Mexico, 57 a day and 21 thousand a year, and it’s a conservative estimate. Government agencies don’t see it as a priority, we have five drug agents to one child sex trafficking agent. The USA has the most money, intelligence and resources to curtail this, but the southern border has let in 85 thousand unaccompanied minors, children from Central America and Mexico.

The traffickers use a safety pin to hold a tag with the name of the child, the name of a contact and their phone number; they are processed and placed on a plane or bus, and the contact picks them up and they disappear into the USA.”

The Biden administration seems to have absolutely no intention of stopping this; one could well speculate as to why. In fact, they are aiding and abetting this horrific practice. I recall seeing Alejandro Mayorkas being questioned by Senator Josh Hawley about the tags of various colours found strewn on the ground at border crossings. Asked if he knew what they were for, he replied he had no idea. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you with harbour views!

We can only pray the Republican Party can win in 2024 and elect someone brave enough to stop this abhorrence, another version of the spirit of Molech and Ishtar.

What can I do? you may ask. This film will be released in the USA on the 4^th of July weekend. I pray it will come to Australia, because we need to be aware and constantly vigilant. These are the days of attacks on the family, children, biology, freedom and Christianity; throw in common decency and common sense too!

The church as a whole is deafeningly silent on the culture wars. It bugs me, disappoints me and breaks my heart — and yes, it’s war all right, spiritual and physical. We have a good friend who battled corruption in New Zealand some years ago, and one of the sayings that held him true to the cause was this: “That which we do not condemn, we condone.”

How much are we willing to condone? With the obvious prevalence of child sexual abuse and human trafficking, it’s a wonder we can’t hear their screams.
