Jonathan Cahn: A Prophetic Voice in the Coming Wilderness of Deception
The Lord spoke to me a week or so ago; He said, “There is a turning taking place.” I asked Him what he meant. I was led to 2 Timothy 4.
We shouldn’t be surprised by what the Lord says to us and how He dovetails His messages and meanings into a narrative that blind Freddy could see; yet, in my human frailty, it still leaves me gobsmacked.
Just a few days before, He reminded me of the necessity and urgency to ‘preach the Word, in season and out of season’,* regardless of the consequences.
I believe the Turning He was referring to is found in 2 Tim 4:3-5. (Amp)
- For the time is coming when people will not tolerate endure sound and wholesome instruction, but having ears itching for something pleasing and gratifying, they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold,
- And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.
- As for you, be calm and cool and steady, accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship, do the work of an evangelist; fully perform all the duties of your ministry.
Having just read these words, I looked to the top of the chapter and behold, here were the verses He spoke to me about only days before.
I charge you in the presence of God and of Jesus Christ, who is the judge of the living and the dead, and by in the light of his coming and his Kingdom: Herald and preached the word! Keep your sense of urgency, stand by, be at hand and ready, whether the opportunity seems to be favourable or unfavourable, whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it be welcome or unwelcome, you, as preacher of the word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong and convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.
To me, the ministry of Jonathan Cahn exemplifies this. Here, he speaks about the Pope. He doesn’t hold back. He speaks of this ‘Turning’.
The video shows how very strong Cahn is; he’s quite fearless. Ought we not be so?
I first became aware of Jonathan Cahn when watching a Christian channel. He had a series running called The Book of Mysteries. What I heard and saw in his teaching was truly astonishing and opened the word of God, intermingled with Hebrew meanings that are so key, yet not understood by mainstream Christianity. To put it bluntly, most clergy would not have a clue about the things he teaches.
So, what happens when you really appreciate an author? Why, you look for other things he has written. This opened a journey for my husband and me into prophetic insights explained by Jonathan in a narrative that is quite unique, yet so easily understood. We have gone through all his books, with the exception of the last one, The Josiah Manifesto — believe me, that’s our next purchase!
All Bestsellers, But Who is Jonathan Cahn?
“Jonathan Cahn is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and Pastor best known for his bestselling novel ‘The Harbinger’. His next four books were also New York Times bestsellers. Long before writing these books, he was known for opening the deep mysteries of scripture and bringing forth messages of prophetic import.
He leads ‘Hope of the World,’ an international outreach of the word, teaching, and compassion projects for the needy around the world. Called the prophetic voice of his generation, Cahn is a much sought-after speaker of international renown.”
The Harbinger
I won’t be giving any spoilers, take heart. The dust jacket proclaims:
“Is it possible… that there exists an ancient mystery that holds the secret of the world’s future? That this mystery is behind everything from 9/11 to the collapse of the global economy? That God is now sending us a prophetic message on which the future hangs?’“
Written in a narrative that comes across like a novel, it’s an intriguing read; however, when one looks at each notation at the end of the chapter, the full portent of his words comes into play. Every reference in the chapter is based on truth and real-time events. To my husband and me, it was a shock and quite confronting, to say the least! Lots of ‘Are you serious?’ moments.
The Paradigm
“Is it possible that there exists an ancient master blueprint that holds the secret behind the events of our times?
Could this blueprint lie behind the rise and fall of leaders and governments?
Could events that took place nearly 3000 years ago now be determining the course of our world and with it the course of our lives?
Could ancient figures from the Middle East hold the key to the leaders of our own day, what they do, when they rise, and when they fall?
Is it possible that this ancient paradigm has determined not only the events of our modern times but also their timing-even down to the exact dates?’“

When we read this book, the truth and spiritual realities of the trans push came glaringly into focus!

Thank you Leonie for sharing such an important message and warning. Also for sharing the 2 Timothy chpt 3 verse warning us that perilous days would come where men can’t bear sound doctrine but having itching ears seek their own ‘gospel’ and turn away from the truth.
It is a tragic day and a real ‘turning of the tide’ as you said to have the Pope publicly agree to same sex marriage and to condone what God has said in Romans chpt 1 is an abomination to Him. To such God says He will give over to their own lusts to destroy themselves (though all have the chance to turn bac to God).
It is tragic too, that such a satanic doctrine denying male and female identity (ordained by God), has come into our Australian schools through secular and political channels. We are meant to protect our children from evil and not to immerse them in pagan doctrines that promote confusion of sexual identity at such a young age, for to ‘such belong the kingdom of God’.
May God reverse this in our culture as overseas pediatricians in UK and USA have start to see the damage done physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally and are refusing to participate in sex change practices.
May church pastors and congregations speak up to protect our children.
May the military win back the right to stay male and female and no longer sponsor sex change practices (many are now wanting to leave our Defence force as they are fed up calling people ‘they’ instead of ‘he or she’ and tip toeing around such a new set of values that weakens our nation. (Dr James Dobson warned too that Satan will seek to destroy a nation through attacking the family unit)
Thanks for highlighting Jonathon Cahn’s urgent teaching. We may take heed and face this new phase of apostasy head on with prayer and action, to denounce it. Jonathon so clearly calls out the false prophets and false teachers and warns there has been apostate teaching creeping through mainstream denominations for some years now and it is manifesting itself in great evil to confuse this generation.

Leonie, I have been challenged today on my glib recounting of the latest ‘Papal pronouncement regarding same sex unions’. The challenge to me was timely and correct. I had said, “the Pope had come out and said he would bless gay marriage”. Well, at face value that is what Jonathon Cahn was saying about the pronouncement.

Both these texts, point out the Pope has not ‘condoned same sex marriage’ per se but rather he has ‘redefined the meaning of blessing’ so that same sex partners may have a blessing too’. I found the doctrinal gymnastics too much for me, a non-Catholic to easily untangle. But my conclusions so far are:
1. If some Catholic Bishops are refusing to implement this latest epistle from the Vatican and some Catholic Bishops are applauding it. That tells me that this statement has split the Catholic church when it was, no doubt, designed to bring unity.
2. The second reflection I have is that Christ died for everyone, he died for us all while we were yet in our sin. But his death and resurrection can only bring a blessing upon us if we ‘turn our back on our sin’ and turn to follow Jesus with ‘all our heart’. So, a blessing, however defined, for individuals in a relationship that they know to be against God’s will, makes no sense to me at all. Sadly it seems to me that the Vatican has committed the cardinal sin, in trying to appease the ‘woke left’, they have denied the power of the cross. I agree with Jonathon Cahn, this ‘is’ a turning point for the church, both Catholic and Protestant. It highlights our need to be watchmen, and to ‘take a stand’ for the gospel at every turn.
I’ve followed Jonathan Cahn for many years and have read all his books including the Josiah manifesto….all very pertinent to the times we lice in. sadly most people just rather say it’s all too hard when I try to share. also recommend Joel Rosenberg and Amir Tsarfati. shalom

Thank you again Leonie for your powerful writing and also Jim’s update on the extra step the Pope has taken of ‘blessing’ same sex marriage…Compromise begins often in small, insidious steps just as it did in our own culture when the schools started to introduce the gender identity teaching. Some went to extremes in the early stages introducing cross dressing for Prep and drag queen displays in public libraries . Young children were ‘worked on’ to give an idea of gender change (and to create confusion in their developing minds.)
It reminds me of Satan in the garden of Eden with Eve, whispering ‘it won’t hurt you’ and ‘you will be like God.’ I weep that our schools were subjected to these pagan theories which originated at La Trobe Uni many years ago and spread into the school system with such vehemence and force.
These dark forces were backed by the media and the public was ‘worked on’ so they would not speak up lest it offend a person who was Gaye or lesbian. Instead of parents being allowed to object their children were exploited in what had been a Judeo-Christian school system. How quickly it spread too- like a wild fire and how the public were shamed if they dared speak up against it or the teachers.
I think it’s been essential to thrash these things out, as you have done Leonie and for us to take note that if the Pope has taken this step of ‘blessing’ then it’s a new step in the battle and a landmark turning point to show what we have lost.
Moira mentioned other speakers who warn us like Joel Rosenberg and Amir Tsafarati. There are others too like Tom Hughes who speaks very clearly on the times always using scripture to interpret events and world trends and also Gary Hamrick has a new podcast on Chpt 1 Romans ‘When a culture excludes God’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoX7pnTjOnc. Pastor Garry spells out how ‘God gives them over to a debased mind’… (Gary unmasks this in our culture where many have come to believe a lie and ‘given themselves over to dishonoring the body God has given and exchanged it for a lie’ as Romans chpt 1 states. Often this is done in ignorance in a secular culture but we can pray that God reaches the conscience of the young and shine His light, amidst the darkness.) Pas Gary believes many have been asleep in the church and need to arise and speak up and teach the truth in love. he also points out that many who have changed to transgender have become deeply depressed and suicidal – as its contrary to God’s righteousness and His purposes.
May God help us fight against these dark values and forces in prayer, and do wherever we can stand against the tide of humanism, paganism and satanism, even though it will cost us to stand against the tide.
Listening to what has been coming out of the Catholic and Anglican churches has been more and more radical and anti biblical.
The Uniting church started the ball rolling a long time ago, but we are indeed in the Days of Deception.
Take a listen to Pastor Jack Hibbs….he’s SO on top of all we have experienced in the last few years and has actually written a book called The Daze of Deception.
He talks with Amir Tsasfarti regularly and is very bold, especially in the light of living in California!

Lord help our dear brothers and sisters, there seems to be coming a clash of Biblical principles and Culture, and the stakes seem to be getting raised rather quickly!
