Babies Born Alive After Abortion Make Headlines in the Mainstream Media
A groundbreaking Courier Mail article published last week revealed the alarming number of babies born alive after abortion in Queensland.
Last week the first news story on the issue of babies born alive to hit the Australian mainstream press landed in The Courier Mail by journalist Des Houghton.
Up until this point, media outlets have ignored the plight of children born alive after an abortion and if they have reported on this issue at all, it has been to cover it up.
A Voice for Babies Born Alive After Abortion
In a significant step forward, The Courier Mail story exposed the numbers of babies born alive and left to die in Queensland without a legal right to care and shared details from the tragic stories of the handful babies that we know more about.
The story referred to my role in researching this issue and uncovering the truth.
A poll embedded in the story found that 91% of readers supported Katter’s born alive bill and the 73 comments under the story exposed how many Queenslanders were shocked and aghast to learn of this issue for the first time.
This week I shared my interview with MP Robbie Katter on my YouTube channel. In it Robbie talks with me about why this born alive bill is so important to him and his party.
Further Updates on Babies Born Alive After Abortion
Also this week, on my other social media platforms, I addressed myths on the born alive bill, exposed a dangerous YouTube channel seeking to brainwash children as young as 3 on the issue of abortion and shared the tragic story of Tim, a German boy with Down Syndrome who was left abandoned on a metal plate for 9 hours after a failed abortion.
These are not easy topics to talk about and I sometimes find it challenging to think about how I will address them in my videos.
My hope is that by breaking them open through short videos on social media, I am helping other Australians find their voice on this issue.
I really believe the future of our children will only be safe when we educate and activate every Australian on the issue of abortion.
That’s not just on me but on all of us as we all have a part to play in speaking up and spreading the word.
Every time you forward one of my emails to a friend, share a video on social media, donate to my campaign or have a conversation with a neighbour, you are helping make abortion unthinkable in Australia.
This is a marathon, not a sprint and I believe that together we will get there.

This article by Christian Jurinka, "Driving With Dad", brought back some happy memories. Like Christian's, my dad let me steer the car while seated next to him. I was only 12 years of age. I felt so proud. In some ways, it was the rite of passage ceremony I never had, but desperately needed.
