‘Hindsight’ is a Luxury Only Billionaires Can Afford
Facebook boss admits censoring Americans and interfering in a presidential election. So what happens now?
Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg has admitted he censored Americans during the pandemic and hid the Hunter Biden laptop story in the lead-up to the 2020 election.
And …?
And billionaire Mark Zuckerberg continues running Facebook.
And the corrupt Biden-Harris Administration, who ordered the hit on free speech and the meddling in an election, carries on as normal.
It all begs the question — was Zuckerberg’s admission a confession, or a boast?
If you can violate the First Amendment rights of 350 million Americans and suffer no consequences, what justice is there?
And if the result of a presidential election can be so blatantly manipulated without anyone ever being held to account, where does that leave “our precious democracy”, as the Democrats are so fond of calling it?
Catastrophic Consequences
Zuckerberg admitted in a letter to the House Judiciary this week:
“In 2021 senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor Covid-19 content, including humor and satire…”
Many of us knew we were being censored. And not just people in the United States. Zuckerberg said he was pressured by governments around the world.
The admission that even “humor and satire” were being censored is enlightening. For those of us who don’t mind lacing our critique of current affairs with a healthy dose of satire, it’s a reminder of its power.
Never forget, the Emperor with No Clothes was able to continue with his charade right up until a kid started laughing. Then the jig was up.
As the Ayatollah once said,
“There are no jokes in Islam.”
Authoritarian regimes hate humour, because the only thing worse than disagreement is ridicule.
Only God knows how many people died, how many businesses went broke, how many marriages failed, how many children lost opportunities and how many human rights were trashed as Governments around the world demanded the right to dictate terms to citizens without a word of dissent — all of it enabled by Zuckerberg.
And now he says,
“I also think we made some choice that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today.”
You think?
It’s a pity “hindsight” won’t bring back family members. It’s a pity “hindsight” won’t bring back two years of lost opportunity.
People died for lack of factual information. And Zuckerberg’s response is an A4 bit of paper saying, “Sorry guys, my bad.”
Hindsight is something only billionaires can afford.

Zuckerberg continued,
“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret we were not more outspoken about it.”
I regret that Zuckerberg hasn’t suffered any consequences for trampling on the free speech of Americans and, indeed, people around the world.
Possible solutions to the pandemic were shut down, people were smeared, and truth was dismissed as conspiracy — all at his hand.
It would be fascinating to know what communications the Australian Government had with Facebook during the pandemic. Was our government complicit in trampling freedom of speech?
That’s a rhetorical question, obviously. I think we all know the answer.
But you can count on Anthony Albanese’s wet lettuce leaf of a Covid inquiry to ensure it’s a question that is never asked anywhere that matters.
Cover-Up
Zuckerberg’s second admission was that he suppressed a news story that would have changed the outcome of the 2020 US Presidential election.
The Facebook boss wrote:
“The administration warned us about a potential Russian disinformation operation about the Biden family… we sent that story to fact checkers for review and temporarily demoted it while waiting for a reply. It’s since been clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect we shouldn’t have demoted the story.”
The Administration knew full well that the laptop left in a Delaware repair shop belonged to Hunter Biden.
The Administration also knew, as subsequent polls published in The New York Times have shown, that if news about the laptop leaked, Joe Biden would lose the 2020 election.
So Zuckerberg, at the behest of the White House, did his level best to ensure Americans never knew the truth of the matter.
The irony, of course, is that it is Donald Trump the Democrats are determined to indict for election interference.
Zuckerberg has promised to do better in the future.
Is he contrite? Or is he laughing behind our backs?
You know when you’ve played a prank, and you’re just dying to let everyone know how clever you were.
Zuckerberg’s letter, couched as a confession, has the stink of that.
The letter is a clear admission that Americans were cheated out of a free and fair election in 2020 to ensure Trump lost.
Hopefully, they’ll all learn a lesson after absolutely nothing is done about any of it.
What a massive clown show we in the West are being forced to endure.

Zucherberg has broken US Law , so, why isn’t he being prosecuted instead of Trump who is being hounded once again to prevent him becoming president ? If the truth had not been suppressed by Zucherberg perhaps Trump would have won the last election, and, in Australia Albanese might never have come to power. Our Rights are being endangered by people like Zucherberg and the Media in the USA + Australia which suppress the Truth. What can we do about it ?
There is no Equality before the Law in the USA which is now as corrupt as that in some Middle Eastern countries, in Asia, Africa , China + Russia . 2 -tiered Law –one for billionaires like Zucherberg , and, one for the rest of US citizens . He is protected from prosecution because he is a billionaire , and, perhaps because he knows too much ?
