Pacific Prayer Assembly Fostered Reconciliation, Forgiveness and Breakthrough
Following the hugely successful World Prayer Assembly in Perth in October 2023, Suva, Fiji was chosen for the Pacific Prayer Assembly (PPA) between 17-20 October 2024.
Amazingly, the date selected, initially without realisation, was the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles. As many could not go to Israel because of the war, the Fiji PPA celebrated the Feast with seventeen nations represented.
The Deed of Divorce
Prior to the opening of the PPA, a delegation of around 40 international ministries witnessed the presentation of a Divorce Decree to the President of Fiji, at the Presidential Palace (known as the State House). Following prayers and hymns, in a dignified and solemn ceremony, the President welcomed the overseas guests and gave his testimony.
President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere stated unequivocally that his office was the footstool of Jesus. He testified he was unable to perform his office without the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit, and dependence on the wise counsel of many Christian leaders.
The Divorce Decree is between the nation of Fiji and their ancient false gods. It states:
“Today, We, The Undersigned, on behalf of our nation — Fiji, and our lineage all the way back to the Tower of Babel;
Hereby Repent of all our sins, iniquities, and transgressions, including defiling the land GOD gave us according to HIS pre-appointed times and boundaries (Deuteronomy 32:8; Acts 17:26);
And In THE NAME Of YESHUA THE MESSIAH, We Break Every Curse over our nation (Fiji), declaring them nailed to the Cross Of YESHUA THE MESSIAH, who was made a curse, so that whoever believes in HIM, may enter into the Blessing of Abraham, who was blessed By ALMIGHTY GOD. (Genesis 12:1-3; Galatians 3:8-14);
And Just As the Bible recognises only one monogamous marriage covenant, it follows that, no nation can marry the GOD Of Israel by covenant, while still married to their ancient false gods;
Therefore, on behalf of our nation — Fiji, in The Name Of YESHUA THE MESSIAH, We now Dissolve, Renounce, Cancel, And Break all ungodly covenants made by our ancestors on behalf of our nation with those false gods, fallen angels, and satanic spiritual guardians, manifested as pagan gods.
IN THE NAME OF YESHUA THE MESSIAH on behalf of my nation of Fiji, We now declare all ungodly covenants made by our nation with all our false gods, fallen angels, spiritual guardians and ancestors null and void. We ANNUL them and PROCLAIM them all CANCELLED.”
The President readily endorsed the Decree and authorised a Paramount Chief, Ratu Timoci Daniel, to sign it on his behalf. The Prime Minister also agreed; however, he was in Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and not available to sign at this time.
This Decree set the tone for the PPA, inviting unity, reconciliation, forgiveness and intentional action to honour the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel, who is our God.
The March of Witness
At the head of the march was a replica of the Ark of the Covenant solemnly carried by six young men and accompanied by a stately choir. All were dressed in white or red. Inside the Ark was a large bible open at Exodus 20 (the Ten Commandments).
Following behind were around 200 people carrying Israeli flags and flags of all the nations. The route took us through the centre of town, stopping all traffic. Curious onlookers lined the streets as we sang, praising God and extending a blessing to them. We passed the Houses of Parliament and proceeded along the seawall, a total distance of 7 kilometres.
The route was intentionally to reclaim the foreshore for Jesus, as it is a place of much Hindu idol worship and sacrifice to the gods of the sea. Even though rain threatened, we were blessed with cloud cover, with a slight refreshing drizzle right at the end of the march.

The Ark in Fiji
The Focus on Worship
The Ark was carried into the Arena and placed on the stage. Local pastor and chair of the PPA organising committee, Pastor Mikaele Mudreilagi, set the scene with a call to repentance and unity, encouraging delegates to draw closer to Jesus. What a joy to focus on the Word and Prayer with great teaching from visiting evangelists from across the globe, including Dr Rick Ridings. Dr Ridings and his wife foster 24/7 prayer from Succot Hillel, which overlooks the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Dr Ridings invoked the ANZAC Spirit:
“Even as the Lord used the ANZACS (Australia including aborigines, New Zealanders including Mãori, joined by indigenous troops from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Niue, and Papua New Guinea) in the Battles such as the Battle of Beersheba in 1917, to break 400 years of Islamic rule over Israel, so the Lord will use all of Oceania as a bulwark against evil systems such as globalism, Marxism, and fundamentalist Islam. He will anoint you in prayer and worship to ‘turn back the battle at the gate.’ (Isaiah 28:6)”
Other speakers included American evangelists Alejandro Arias, Warren Hunter, Fielding Cage, Chance Walters and Australians Daniel Prasad, Donny McGregor and Kym Farnik. The PPA partnered with Generation Fire and Glory Awakening, which ran the evening outreach programs.
Reconciliation and Forgiveness with the Indo-Fijian community
With unity as the major focus, indigenous Fijians recognised their lack of Gospel outreach to the predominantly Hindu Indo-Fijian community, which comprises 47% of the population. While Fiji sends missionaries all over the world, the local Indian community has often been treated with contempt and disrespect, even hatred. Forgiveness and reconciliation were sought.
In a powerful time of prayer, barriers were brought down. Indian pastors and leaders sought forgiveness for their resistance to the Gospel, while iTaukei (indigenous Fijians) sought forgiveness for their animosity and lack of obedience to the Gospel mandate. In heartfelt repentance, with many tears, reconciliation and real fellowship flourished. The participation of a large number of Indian families was unprecedented and a clear move of God.
Different Ministries Became One Body
While there were many different ministries involved in the momentous evangelistic events and the Pacific Prayer Assembly over more than 40 days across Fiji, all merged into one with the sole purpose of bringing glory to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. An estimated 27,000 gave their lives to Jesus in the crusades. The challenge now is for them to be discipled, nurtured and embraced into families.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you, to the very end of the age. ~ Matthew 28:18-20
At a final meeting, ministry leaders agreed unity, relationship and family are the drivers and model we must intentionally foster, after the pattern Jesus set for His followers. A deep desire emerged for the different ministries to stay connected, exchange resources and information in the mandate of Ephesians 2:15 to become One New Man, all unified in the blood of Christ.
Please pray for the new Christians. Give thanks for the ministry teams and support crews including Sisters Keepers, and continue to pray for all Oceania countries. Surely we have just witnessed a mighty move of God in the Pacific. All Glory to His Name!

Identificational repentance is a very powerful corporate, priestly (1 Peter 2:9) prayer weapon, in which believers stand in the gap for their family, church, city, or nation by naming the sins that have shaped a people, confessing them before God, and turning from those patterns in heartfelt humility.

PS Daniel Prasad
Sadly, many church leaders be were given the invitation and chose not to be involved. They missed the Blessing. My name is Pastor Wesley Wicks, senior pastor of Yeshua Glory Church, Sydney, Australia. I draw your attention to man, that loves God. He made many sacrifices. countless were the hours he spent in prayer. Connecting with pastors and churches, to share the vision God had given him about Fiji and other Pacific islands. Through his enduring efforts, brought together people of like minded vision. The recognition of this man, is of prime importance. As without Him 28000 decisions for Jesus would not have happened. my calculated guess is 100 000 heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God uses a chosen vessel.
His name is Pastor Daniel Prasad. Can we God’s people support Prasad. Can we enter into partnership with Prasad. If given ongoing financial support, I believe we are investing into the harvest. can we assist one man to bring millions of souls into God’s Kingdom. Many are called, few are chosen.
