Sydney’s taxpayer-funded LGBTQ+ Mardi Gras have openly mocked Jesus Christ and Indigenous Australians without apology.

Photos from the Saturday event show two men vilifying Australia’s Christian foundations, as well as over 40% of Australians who identify as Christian.

This number includes almost 54% of Indigenous Australians.

Dressed in costumes, two attendees mimicked a semi-clothed, pre-settlement Indigenous Australian spearing another man dressed as Christ on the cross.

Despite the stunt being carried out on the eve of Lent, the “tolerance and inclusion” LGBTQ+ are yet to condemn what would be a “hate crime” in any other context.

Nor have Mardi Gras or their corporate sponsors, such as Optus and Coles, issued a formal statement rejecting the anti-Christian bigotry or distancing themselves from the individuals involved.

Mardi Gras was bailed out last year to the tune of $1.1 million taxpayer dollars.

The group was also handed an additional $250,000 through a free rent deal.

This year, the Acronym Army appears to have used at least part of that handout to protest for a free Palestine, falsely accuse Israel of genocide, cheer on Islam, and spit all over Christians.

Noticeably, while the Mardi Gras vilified Christians, Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong – a high-profile member of the LGBTQ+ – dined with Muslims to mark Ramadan.

Stop the Public Funding

Leading the fight against LGBTQ+ Incorporated’s partially publicly funded war on Australian Christians, Family First and the Libertarians demanded that public funds be cut off.

The stunt, Family First argued, also “insults indigenous culture which overwhelmingly saw homosexuality as taboo.”

Additionally, there are “questions about whether taxpayers’ funds should support a festival which promotes the chemical castration of children and their bodily mutilation through so-called ‘gender-affirming care’.”

Therefore, they are calling for an end to taxpayer funding of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Family First explained.

Voicing frustration with the Left’s two-tier tolerance on X, Family First director Lyle Shelton asked,

“Why doesn’t the Mardi Gras mock Islam the way it does Christianity?

“Why do mainstream Australians have to pay for them to mock our civilisational inheritance?”

Joining Shelton, CEO of Women’s Forum Australia Rachael Wong posted,

“It is disgraceful that this event receives millions of dollars in government funding.

“And imagine the outrage if it were another religion being ridiculed, rather than Christianity?”

On Instagram, Maryka Groenwald, WA State Director of the Australian Christians Party, rightly called out the Mardi Gras hypocrisy, stating,

“Harbouring an inclusive environment? Not for Christians.

“Radical LGBT groups claim it is unacceptable to offend a member of their community”

“Yet,” she said, “they find new and more depraved ways to blaspheme against Jesus – whom they don’t believe in.”

“The fact they live in a nation with Christian roots is the ONLY reason they have the freedom to openly offend like this,” asserted Groenwald.

Groenwald is right. Homosexuals mocking Christians while marching for Muslims has tone-deaf ignorance written all over it.

Perverse Misuse

Taxpayers should know what they are funding.

We should not be forced to fund the smug vilification of Christians, the abuse of Israelis, or the mockery of Indigenous Australians.

We should not be financially subsidising sexual anarchy, erasing what it means to be a woman, or denying a child the right to a mother and a father.

As is the case with parental alienation via surrogacy and IVF.

Public funds shouldn’t be used to buy/sell/abort designer babies for gay couples or the LGBTQ+ insistence on pushing age-inappropriate sex education onto our kids.

We should not be funding the imposition of new cultural laws as demanded by this unhinged and out-of-control, hypocritical ideology.

Such as authoritarian LGBTQ+ lawfare, which legislates forced speech and selectively polices hate crimes while policing thoughts and words based on another person’s hurt feelings.

We should not be funding legislation that criminalises biology by labelling it bigotry “because biological facts are considered offensive to some people.”

Evidence supporting this argument goes as far as the United Kingdom, where nurses are being told by LGBTrans activists to “be more tolerant.”

While LGBTrans Fasco-communism is on life support in the U.S, it’s sadly, more than alive & well in the U.K.

The evidence includes good teachers who are being fired for having a science-backed, Biblically informed opinion about biology, marriage, and sex. (See here, here, and here)

Taxpayers shouldn’t be made to serve the self-interests of political groups.

Especially groups who are hostile to approximately 40% of Australia’s taxpayers.

From last weekend’s mockery of Christ to fostering political attacks on Moira Deeming, lawfare against Binary director Kirralie Smith, Lyle Shelton, and Sal Grover, LGBTQ+ Incorporated has cornered the market on hate and hypocrisy.

As critics of the Marxian Woke New Left often point out, double standards are the Left’s only standards.

Those who point and scream “bigotry” are the most dangerous bigots of them all.
