ACL to Host National Call to Prayer for Unborn Babies
You are invited to join believers across Australia for a national prayer webinar for unborn babies hosted by the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) this Tuesday, 26th August 2025.
The Canberra Declaration is partnering with the Australian Christian Lobby again on the critical issue of abortion. Both organisations stand together for the lives of the unborn babies.
You are invited to join believers across Australia for a national prayer webinar hosted by the Australian Christian Lobby as we seek God together on one of the most urgent continuing moral issues of our time: abortion.
Abortion: A Most-Urgent Moral Issue
Each year, around 89,000+ unborn children lose their lives to abortion in Australia. Across the country, it is legal right up to birth. Some babies are even born alive after an abortion procedure and left without care. What was once an unthinkable act has become routine.
We believe this is not just a political crisis – it is first a spiritual one. That’s why we’re gathering to pray:
- That our nation would come to see abortion for the tragedy it truly is and choose life.
- For women who feel abandoned, pressured, afraid and not pushed toward harm, that they would be given real care.
- For the healing of every heart and home wounded by abortion.
- That God would stir our leaders’ consciences and move them to protect the most vulnerable.
- That God would use this year’s Baby Booties display to break through the apathy and turn hearts toward life.
Baby Booties Display at Parliament House, Canberra
This prayer meeting comes strategically one night before thousands of tiny, hand-knitted booties will be placed on the lawns of Parliament House.
On Wednesday morning (27th August 2025), these booties will be powerfully displayed in our nation’s capital – each one representing a little life lost.

Some of these babies never had the chance to live. Others were born alive and left to die without care. All were made in God’s image.
