Massacres, Genocide, Et Cetera: The Vague Language of National Self-Loathing
A scathing critique argues that the Race Discrimination Commissioner fuels division, not national unity, and calls on Anthony Albanese to remove him in the name of genuine social cohesion.
If Anthony Albanese is serious about social cohesion, the first thing he should do is sack the Race Discrimination Commissioner.
Because if “uniting the country” is the goal, it’s hard to see how paying a public servant $400,000 a year to preach hate and division is part of the plan.
Have a listen to our taxpayer-funded Race Commissioner, holding court on our taxpayer-funded broadcaster, explaining to taxpayers that they are, in fact, squatting on stolen land.
January 26 is such a conflicted day… I feel very, very conflicted when I think about January 26 because I think, well, what are we celebrating?
We’re all on stolen land and we actually need truth-telling about the history of this land.
If Giridharan Sivaraman genuinely believes we are all living on stolen land… a simple question arises…
Why is HE still here?
If we accept Giridharan Sivaraman’s assertion that Australia is stolen land, consider the difference between most of us, and him.
Most of us were born on this allegedly stolen land.
But he’s an Indian immigrant. He arrived here as a child and has now built his home and life on what he claims is stolen land.
Yet he dares to moralise? Give me a break.
And if Australia Day is such a conflicting day for Australia’s Indian-born Race Discrimination Commissioner, then he could always go home to India… where he can wake up on January 26 with a completely clear conscience.
But wait… is a clear conscience worth surrendering a $400,000 taxpayer-funded salary?
Apparently not.
Why would you dig holes when you sit around saying stuff like this – and as your reward, be among the top 1 percent of wage earners in this country?
When it comes to January 26, it becomes so difficult, because there’s this undercurrent of nationalism – love it or leave it phenomenon – where people go, well ‘unless you’re with us, you’re against us’, and so you’ve just got to, on January 26, you’ve got to kiss the flag, love the country, otherwise go away.
Well, we can’t have an undercurrent of nationalism.
God forbid a flicker of quiet patriotism on the one day set aside to acknowledge the nation’s existence.
Next minute, they’ll be calling Australia the “lucky country” and suggesting it might actually be one of the greatest places on earth.
Rhetoric and Real-World Consequences
Funny how the Race Discrimination Commissioner frets about people kissing the flag.
I spent this morning googling people kissing the Australian flag and couldn’t find a single one.
I did, however, find a shocking image of someone clearly expressing affection for the flag.
Now, I don’t know who that person is, but she definitely seems to be exhibiting an undercurrent of nationalism.
The Race Discrimination Commissioner needs to sort her out quick smart… before she’s running around in a uniform trying to exercise supremacy over people from other nations.
Love you, Cathy Freeman.
Isn’t it strange that our Race Discrimination Commissioner condemns people kissing the flag — which doesn’t happen — while saying nothing about people burning the flag, which was all over the news?
After Invasion Day protestors in Brisbane burned our national flag, they spat on it. Which, apparently, is preferable to kissing it.
Let’s play a little game of cause and effect.
Here’s what the Race Discrimination Commissioner told The Telegraph when asked about Australia Day:
“It is a day when colonisation began which led to First Peoples being forced off their country and on to missions and reserves, genocidal acts, massacres, systematic child removal and more.”
I love how he says massacres, genocidal acts… and “more”. What’s more? Alien abductions?
It’s the rhetorical junk drawer — when you’ve emptied the thesaurus of horrors, but still want to imply there’s an even darker box in the basement.
Anyway, I’m showing you cause and effect. Here’s the effect. A young man filmed in Sydney telling an elderly couple who were celebrating Australia Day:
I hope the white genocide does take place. F*** your flag. F*** this genocidal country.
That charming young man is not saying anything the Albanese Government-appointed Race Discrimination Commissioner hasn’t already said.
The kid is just far more succinct.
If he can clean up his potty mouth, he’s got a promising future in the Race Discrimination office.
A Test for Albanese’s Leadership
So tell me again, Anthony Albanese, how do you intend to build social cohesion while your Race Discrimination Commissioner is telling everyone that racism and lies are baked into every part of our country?
We want systems and institutions to reflect us, to be safe for us. Why don’t they do that? Because they were built to really privilege colonialism and whiteness.
And why were they built to do that?
Because they were to cover a lie – the lie that no one was here before.
Ah yes, the systems and institutions of this country are SO racist that they’ve permitted an Indian immigrant to land a $400,000-a-year taxpayer-funded job lecturing the country about whiteness.
If people are being told by our top bureaucrats that Australia is built on stolen land. And that Australia’s institutions are all based on racism and lies… why wouldn’t a bunch of them feel absolutely justified in tearing down monuments, burning national symbols, and chanting “Death to Australia”?
The Race Discrimination Commissioner defended his remarks yesterday morning, telling The Telegraph:
It is appropriate for the Race Discrimination Commissioner to talk about the dispossession of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of their land.
To which I’d reply… okay then. Let’s start with a conversation about your house.
He continued:
If we’re going to come together, we should come together on a platform of truth and honesty.
Truth and honesty, huh?
And then, straight-faced, he says this:
We do need education. It didn’t stop 200 years ago. Aboriginal kids were being stolen from their families through state-sanctioned policies… well, it’s happening now.
What?
Government policies are currently causing Aboriginal children to be stolen. State-sanctioned theft of kids. Happening now?
I agree that truth and honesty are necessary preconditions for bringing the country together.
But there’s something that needs to happen before we’ll get either of those two things … Australia’s divisive Race Discrimination Commissioner needs to be sacked.
Let him try his hand at a real job – somewhere far away from the levers of power and the public purse.

Sack him !
As a communist Albo wants social disharmony
Is it imperative for us to know and the author of this article here to write the expletives!? The way you wrote them James is like reading them in full. You put those words in my head, everyone reads them mate exactly how they are spelt and sound. Can I remind you that this is supposed to be a Christian site!
Ephesians 4:29
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
Colossians 3:17
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
Are you putting those words in my head James in the name of the Lord Jesus?
Why are profanities so common now amongst people who call themselves Christian? The Bible says don’t do it but so many ignore the Word and use them or repeat them.
The use here has done zero for my knowledge and has in fact injected then into my mind.
I don’t think your articles and writing style reflect the Bible message or the teachings of the Lord James so im no longer going to read your articles.
David Lawson, you have raised an important issue in your perceptive comment. Yes, the left thrives on causing trouble, stirring up the populace so that we are arguing amongst ourselves.
The left also deliberately wrecks economies as that hastens the breakdown of civilised society which is very much a part of their agenda.
The left also attacks the fundamental unit of any society and that is the family. Look at how they have weakened family life for well over a generation now to the point where they feel they can now openly attack Christian faith in all its forms as being repressive and narrow minded. They’ve done this by legalising abortion to birth, legislating for assisted suicide, legislating same sex marriage, criminalising words of caution to the gender confused and flooding the internet with pornography.
Thank you James Macpherson for exposing the words of Race Discrimination Commissioner for what they are…. political grandstanding at its most reprehensible.
Thank you James Macpherson for your whit – incisions cutting away the verbage and anti-Australian slant of the Commissioner, and revealing the truth.
I also concur with the otherJames who commented above-
“Thank you James Macpherson for exposing the words of Race Discrimination Commissioner for what they are…. political grandstanding at its most reprehensible”.
What a disgrace, please go back to India, you obviously don’t love our beautiful country or share our values or share all the truth about our history. Can we look at your counties history and your own for instance, did your country do everything right, have you? Mr commissioner. Or can we pick and choose and inflate what we find then tell it to your children. You are a disgrace.
