Are you a globalist, a nationalist, or a hybrid? Why is it important to know, and how is this connected to biblical prophecy.

Three years ago, I did a five-part series on Globalism and Nationalism in The Daily Declaration, starting with “Part 1: The Tower of Babel“.

It’s time for a further reflection, initially inspired by J-TV: The Global Jewish Channel, Oliver Anisfeld — “Jordan Peterson: This PETRIFIES The Entire Muslim World!”

Globalism, Nationalism and the Human Instinct

I think we are all wired to be either a globalist or a nationalist, but perhaps I am wrong: perhaps we can be both at the same time?

A globalist, in my book, is someone who has a natural inclination to look to the whole world to organise their lives, to solve problems and spearhead innovations. A globalist will support whole-of-planet strategies to combat real or imagined crises such as ‘pandemics’ or ‘climate change.’ A globalist rejoices in a borderless planet with global free trade.

A nationalist, on the other hand, has a natural inclination to look to their own national community to keep them safe, solve problems and perhaps beat other nations in the race towards innovations. A nationalist will be suspicious of global initiatives to combat real or imagined crises such ‘pandemics’ or ‘climate change.’ A nationalist will champion their own national sovereignty and their unique contribution to world trade, putting their own people first.

From Babel to Today: The Globalist Dream

“Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:4, NKJV)

The Tower of Babel aspiration. The desire to ‘make a name for ourselves’ and the fear of ‘lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.’ The globalist’s dream and motivation right there, 2300 BC.

Think of all the empires that have come and gone. They had global domination in mind; no longer content with their own nation-state.

Some of the most recent global aspirants include Hitler’s World War II Nazi Germany, the 1960s Reds Under the Bed (Communism), present-day Neo-Marxism, and China, which has risen as a superpower.

What about Islam? The desire for a Caliphate (Islamic rule: Caliphs are the title given to humans who rule earth as vice-regents of Allah), has been an aspiration for some Muslims throughout their history. Let’s acknowledge that mass Muslim immigration into Western nations, the Islamic rape gangs in the United Kingdom that have been largely protected by authorities for decades, and the establishment of sharia law alongside Western law in many sectors of cities in Europe and potentially in the USA and Australia, are all elements of the Islamist global aspiration.

In the aftermath of the 7 October 2023 atrocities in Israel, perpetrated by Hamas from Gaza, we heard the phrase, ‘Globalise the intifada.’ In other words, the supporters of the Islamist Palestinian cause have been calling for people from around the world to rise up against the nation of Israel.

Islam most certainly has global aspirations. While the West’s mainstream media typically draws our attention to a specific issue in the moment, masking our ability to see and evaluate the big picture.

The Left’s Love of Globalism

The Brexit debate in the United Kingdom drew a clear line between the Left’s love of open borders and the common market of the European Union, while the Right wanted to protect British industry, British fisheries and notably British national identity.

The Left have consistently supported the deindustrialisation of the West while expanding Asian manufacturing industries that are reliant on global free trade.

The ‘Climate Crisis’, with its fear of carbon dioxide, has driven innumerable global climate protocols crippling the West, while expanding Asian economies. This has been championed by the Left, and applauded by the old Right, for fear of losing votes.

‘Health Crises’ also reflect the Left’s touch, as nations in unison followed the American narrative enacted on the World Health Organisation’s stage.

Any opposition to the Left’s love affair is met with pejoratives of ‘populism (ironic in a democratic society), Far Right Extremism, Nazi sympathisers, racism, bigoty and worse.

The New Right’s Nationalism

The ‘nation state’ is the building block of every chapter in Biblical history. Any reference to global domination was always seen as a threat, or a negative, in the Bible. The only global endeavour applauded in the Bible is ‘the Kingdom of God.’

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

When the Ezekiel 36:24 and 37:21-22 prophecies that God would bring the Israelites back from among the nations into their own land to make them a nation again, actually happened, the Left couldn’t stand it and instinctively supported those nations seeking Israel’s destruction.

Ironically, the one nation the Left supports is the ‘so-called’ nation of Palestine. For nearly eighty years, the Palestinians have been repeatedly offered ‘a land’ by the Left in Israel, and each time they rejected the offer, as they don’t want a nation ‘alongside’ Israel, they want Israel gone, from the ‘River to the Sea.’ So, in Oliver Anisfeld’s terms, they keep the mythology of their nation as a design to destroy a nation, Israel. The Right in Israel is passionate about their nation and committed to securing their borders for their people.

The new Right in America under Donald J. Trump are passionate nationalists. The new Right in the UK under Rupert Low are passionate nationalists, and the new Right in Australia under Pauline Hanson are passionate nationalists.

The Current State of Play

I must credit Oliver Anisfeld for the heart of this perspective.

God’s order has always revolved around a ‘balance’, or a ‘dynamic tension’ between ‘grace’ and ‘justice.’ We can’t have one without the other, but human nature without God can’t handle that; the result is veering to one extreme or the other.

Islam has latched on to ‘justice’ and taken upon itself to be the custodian of justice down to the letter of their law, imposing their rules with brutal ferocity, particularly on women and girls, and in the process, they have become totalitarian dictators of the worst kind. Remember, their objective is a global caliphate.

The so-called ‘democratic Left’ in Western nations applauds ‘grace’, under the mantra of tolerance, from their ideology that you can’t judge anyone. Don’t forget they have obliterated ‘sin’ from their dictionaries. ‘Tolerance’ is their byword.

Here comes the rub. The Left have tolerated and given power and licence to Islam, wherever they have sought to exert influence and cultural control. Ironically, the Left’s tolerance or ‘grace’ has appeased, encouraged and supported the ‘justice of Islam’.

Both the Left and Islam’s objectives are global. Only the Jews and the new Right support the ‘nation-state.’

In Ezekiel 38 and 39, all the players in the final battle are ‘nations,’ not global superpowers. The nation state will be alive and well and fully engaged in this war. The Left’s globalist aspirations will be dismantled, and Islam’s global caliphate will be defeated.

Let’s hold on to the end of the play; we are in the final act, and we know who wins:

And in that day His (Jesus’) feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
