Wheelchair-Bound Christian Influencer Assassinated in France After Criticising Islam

A Christian influencer in France is dead because he criticised Islam.

Ashur Sarnaya was ambushed and then struck in the neck with a machete during a live TikTok broadcast on 10 September.

Sarnaya’s video shows him bleeding out on the scene.

The attack happened approximately two hours after news broke that Charlie Kirk had been assassinated.

It’s unknown whether Ashur Sarnaya’s death was ideologically connected to the far-left’s execution of Kirk.

Reports state that Sarnaya was killed by three Arabic-speaking men, described as Islamists.

Mystery Motives?

Police and French officials have said the attackers’ “motives were unclear” and that they’re still investigating the execution.

Lyons, Muslim Greens’ Deputy Mayor, Mohamed Chihi, officially responded to Sarnaya’s killing on the Twitter remake BlueSky – a Left-wing social media “safe space.”

There, Chihi stated, that he “hoped the despicable crime would be solved soon.”

Adding to this, Chihi said he had “every confidence in the judicial police, who are working hard to solve this case.”

It is worth noting that Chihi is in charge of the Lyon council’s “diversity, equity and inclusion” as well as ensuring “public safety” for Muslims.

He was also one of the many elected representatives who fled X for BlueSky after Trump’s inauguration in January.

Chihi has offered no sympathy, condolences, or further comments online about Ashur Sarnaya’s murder.

Sarnaya was a wheelchair-bound 47-year-old Christian refugee living in Lyon with his sister.

They had escaped from Iraq to the south of France in 2014, following the Islamic caliphate’s carnage caused by ISIS’s blitzkrieg through the region.

Positing reasons for his ISIS-style execution, Catholic News Agency (CNA) said Sarnaya would “regularly host live sessions on TikTok talking about Christianity.”

Quoting his sister, CAN remembered “Sarnaya as a normal person, who had no enemies, and no problems with anyone.”

She learned about the attack from friends who were watching online.

When Sarnaya’s sister arrived on the scene, he was “on the ground”, already dead, CAN recounted.

Danger Zone

Amplifying solidarity with Saranya, L’Œuvre d’Orient called his murder an “assassination”.

Unlike Chihi, the French Catholic group were blunt and unyielding.

They condemned the attack in the “strongest possible terms”, then demanded “the investigation find its conclusion as soon as possible.”

Leader of the French National Rally, Marine Le Pen – a serious contender for the French presidency – rightly ripped into open borders and multiculturalism.

In effect, she said these “progressive” policies had imported and allowed into France the very culture Ashur Sarnaya and his sister had fled.

“He was in France to escape his tormentors and was savagely stabbed by an Islamist,” asserted Le Pen.

“While it is legitimate to grant asylum to those persecuted in their home countries, our immigration policy—unlimited and uncontrolled—now leads us to welcome their tormentors as well.”

“My thoughts go to his family and loved ones,” Le Pen exclaimed.

Adding to the outpouring of frustration and grief, French Christian disaster relief organisation SOS Chrétiens d’Orien said Sarnaya’s bold proclamation of his Christian faith in Arabic had made him a target.

“This often earned him hateful comments and sometimes even harassment, as in the spring, when he was assaulted by Muslims,” they explained.

Also condemning the assassination, the Christian NGO invited people to pray for justice, saying,

“It is unimaginable that a Christian who fled persecution would be murdered in France.”

To quote another recent Christian martyr, the late great Charlie Kirk,

“You hear a lot of pundits fearmonger about the rise of ‘Christian Nationalism‘ when right in front of their eyes, Islam is taking over public places and gaining political power.

“Islam is a fundamentally political ideology that aims to conquer us, militarily or demographically.

“It is not compatible with Western civilisation.

“Christians are being targeted all across the world. Radical Islam wants nothing more than us dead. Don’t give them the satisfaction.” (see here, here, and here)

France and Britain are not the only countries ignoring the elephant in the room because of the deification of “niceness”.

Ashur Sarnaya’s murder follows the ambush and assassination of Iraqi Christian Salwan Momika in Sweden earlier this year.

As I said at the time, if you think the West can survive multiculturalism, you’re woefully ignorant about Islam.

If you think multiculturalism will survive Islamification, you’re just as poorly informed.

The West is being invaded by people who hate Christians and are prepared to kill them.

With respect Trevor, they were already here and have been behind the Islamic invasion of this country. i.e they are being used by ideological forces, just as some racial groups are being used as a “voting block” to go against the traditional values and religion of many in this land. I believe that our Creator is sovereign, however, and wants us as Christians to lovingly and genuinely reach out to them, engaging them in the hopes of saving some.
it is my belief, that no-one can help what they are brought up as – as children, but have a choice as they are older. Whilst we have the opportunity with freedom of speech can present the claims of Jesus and must do so.

    Heartbreaking stuff.
I’m reminded of the Douglas Murray book, The Strange Death of Europe.
