But much prayer, wisdom, engagement and collaboration are still needed. The question remains: What would happen if we worked together to reach Australia by 2033?

The war against Hamas, while tragic and deeply complex, is not a matter of political ambition or retaliation. It is a war of necessity – one grounded in the fundamental right of a sovereign nation to defend its citizens against terrorism.

The Two-State Solution is a proposed framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by establishing two separate states (within the current borders of Israel) for two peoples. This fails to provide the parties with genuine enforceable assurances of peace, protection, and safety.

This year, may we bring God’s Kingdom into politics and society with prayer, righteousness, holiness, and love.

The South Australian Police Commissioner and SA Government have allowed the pro-Palestinian protests to proceed even though the protesters have been showing Hamas and Hezbollah banners and flags. These are proscribed terrorist organisations according to the Federal Government.

Most of us know there is a draft bill before the Parliament with a verbose title: Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill. Its name alone should tell us something smells. The answer to bad speech is MORE speech, not less.

There is much spiritual warfare in this season. This is evident by assassination attempts, Israel fighting for its survival, fraudulent elections, and abhorrent laws being put forward by godless politicians.  We need to be able to fight, not flesh and blood, but with faith in the heavenlies.

We need to pray and act (write to your local member etc.) on this critical issue. This conversion practices bill is an attack on sanity, free speech, and being able to share the hope of the Gospel.

A ceasefire will NOT help the hostages. All a ceasefire will do is strengthen the terrorists. Anything that allows Hamas, Hezbollah, PIJ, etc, to remain as coherent forces in the medium to long term will threaten the very existence of Israel and the Jewish people.
