As 2024 comes to a close, I really do think we have reason for hope. The tide has begun to turn on many social and cultural issues and we are beginning to see a bit of a return to normality.

An explosive report that exposes the “transition” from evidence-based medicine and holistic care to activism in the care of children with gender dysphoria was released this past week. Australia’s current gender care guidelines continue to ignore developments in other countries.

That these issues are front and centre in multiple jurisdictions, years after abortion until birth was decriminalised in every state and territory, suggests that the tide may be turning, even if ever so slightly.
