Considering the ongoing decay of our society, we must pray for a new revival of our nation, a turning of all hearts toward God, the Author and Bringer of Life.

“So, tell me what ails you?”

A man goes to see his doctor; when called in, he is quite agitated.

His doctor asks, “What ails you?”

The man starts rubbing his sleeves and chest, shooing something away;

“Doctor, I see bugs crawling on my clothes!”

The doctor sits back abruptly and exclaims,

“Well, don’t flick them on me!”

It’s an old joke, not an attempt to demean people with any form of mental illness — these are indeed part of the everyday experiences of many poor folks. We have lived constant, persistent stress in the last two years.

Our world has been subjected to physical, emotional, financial and spiritual punishment. There’s no way around it; it’s a mess. We are sick, not from a virus; it’s much deeper and worse than that. The media and sold-out politicians will convince many that they keep us safe; instead, they have made us “active participants in our own enslavement”. Illusion, delusion — it’s worked.

Instead of treating whatever physical sickness has been allowed to hurt many people, they provide the “only solution” — in stages! Two weeks, masks, lockaway, lockdown, fluid in a vial, (so vile) not once, not twice, maybe three times… or more. Oh God, our children! Our beloved elderly allowed to die on their own! An abomination! Still we drink the poison, spoon-fed by a force so evil that we have yet to plumb its depths.

Consider the phenomenon of Mass Formation Psychosis. Kurt Mahlburg has a very interesting and informative look at this condition thrust upon our unsuspecting world time and again.

Losing Focus

So, what ails us as a country, a society and an individual?

Friend, we are in the midst of decay — in every area listed above.

Every ‘wokarista’ out there will deny and hate the words that follow, but hey, that’s the problem! We cannot have an alternate view on anything without raising the hackles of the ‘squeaky wheels’.

Australia, like every country, has had good and bad episodes in her history. She was declared “The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit” by explorer Fernandez de Queiroz, in 1606. A prophetic utterance by a devout Catholic Spaniard.

Founded as a penal colony, yes. Based its laws and ethics upon Judaeo-Christian values that made us people of principle and respect, compassion and justice.

Past decades have eroded the Rock from all sides. Political advantage-takers, academia, media, who harbour outright antipathy toward Christian values, have bludgeoned us remorselessly with accusations of every ‘ist’ and ‘phobe’ they can wield.  They target those who believe in the power of the Ten Commandments, the virgin birth, the New Testament truth of redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ, our Foundational Beliefs.

The woke church leaders and congregations have bought into the lies that if we just see the other point of view, we can have peace and ‘win’ more into the Kingdom; after all, God is Love… He loves the sinner. Of course, He died for us.

Jesus is also the righteous hand of God who overturned the tables of the money changers in the Temple. He called the Pharisees whitewashed tombs full of dead men’s bones; nests of vipers, etc.

Cheapened humanity

We have been subjected to the lie that life is not sacred, a gift from God, with intrinsic value from conception to death. Our babies are valued as the most treasured and loved commodity by parents, or seen as merely disposable pieces of flesh by others, whilst still in the womb.

• Jeremiah 1:5 ~ “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you.”
• Psalm 139:15 ~ “My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.”
• Psalm 139:16 ~ “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.”

We live in a world of human sacrifice, an abomination before God. State parliamentarians in Australia have been known to go out celebrating together when these laws were passed! Have they no shame, no conscience? No, they don’t.

Approximately 73 million abortions are carried out worldwide each year. Australia, though low in population, accounts for approximately 80,000 deaths. The spirit of Molech is rampant in the earth.

Forbidden from the beginning of the Old Testament, those who offered their children up to this god were condemned.

1 Kings 11:7 confirms that even King Solomon did not stand against it in righteousness; he erected a temple for his pagan wives on a hill in Jerusalem, where their gods could be worshipped. Centuries later, on that same hill stood the home of the Pharisee Caiaphas, where Judas Iscariot went to help plan Jesus’ betrayal with a kiss, for 30 pieces of silver. To add to this abominable place’s history, according to Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Ministries, upon this ground now stands the United Nations building.

Same-sex marriage was the slippery slope of getting the whole agenda of the Alphabet lobby through. Those who stood for natural, traditional marriage were labelled haters or ‘out-of-touch’ with the modern evolving world — de-volving is closer!

Our parents are castigated for wanting to have their children sent to a Christian school actually upholding Christian values!

Those who should have stood up for us, didn’t. Instead, they attempted an ‘unholy alliance’ with the world.

Standing up for children — all children

It sounds straightforward enough. Put the politics of agenda-driven spokesmen forward — we have Mr Thorpe speaking up for the rights of transgender children. Nice, one might say, good for him.

Why isn’t he yelling from the rooftops, “Unmask our children? Stop the vaccination of every child! Let them breathe, live, play sport, learn, laugh and have joy!”?

My fight is for EVERY child, not a select cohort. Every protester in Canberra, Canada, Wellington or every other state and country is protesting for every child. Why, being so very influential, has he not had the burning desire to speak up for ALL children?

Take a ‘lunchroom survey’ in any workplace across the nation, and I guarantee you parents won’t be concerned about what he is pushing; rather, I would suggest what I’m questioning.

How many parents and grandparents does he represent? One in tens of thousands? Probably.

Does he have the right to speak? I sure hope so! Do we have the right to disagree? I sure hope so!

Memory Loss

Allow me to draw your attention to an article from Caldron Pool; it explains what we are facing as a nation and the body of Christ in these times.

Titled “The Gospel Has Many Political Implications For a Nation“, it’s another ‘must-read’. Question where we stand. If your church is toeing the party line in all of this, perhaps it’s time to ask the hard questions of your leaders. Frankly, I see the church has been sadly lacking in fortitude and courage.

JOKE:

A man walks into the doctor to get results of tests he had taken.

“Well Doc, how’s the results?”

“Mr Smith, I have troubling news; you have a heart condition that needs immediate attention; you also have the onset of dementia.”

“Oh dear.” he replies.  “Well, I suppose it could be worse! My heart could be in a bad way!”

Have we forgotten all His benefits to us, Australia?
Do we have ‘convenient’ memory loss?

He fills my life with good things my youth is renewed like the Eagles!

He has removed our sins as far away from us as the east is from the West.
He is like a father to us tender and sympathetic to those who reverence Him.
For He knows we are but dust,
and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers,
blown by the wind and gone forever.

But the loving kindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting,
to those who reverence him;
His salvation is to children’s children of those who are faithful
to His covenant and remember to obey Him.

The Lord has made the heavens His throne;
from day He rules over everything there is.”

Did we not know what to expect, in these darkening times? Were we not warned? Of course, we knew! How many warnings does the Word of God give us? His prophets, both ancient, old and modern have spoken. Trouble is, too few churches speak about it; they are just ‘seeker-friendly’. They dare not rock the boat with hard-hitting truths.

An article by Bill Muehlenberg brings to light a clarion call from the early 1980s. Reverend Schaeffer was prophetically spot-on!

Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus!

I confess that I’ve been struggling to come to terms with what has befallen our world, and our beloved country.

If that’s you too, this recommendation may help you as it has me.

I recently found a book that I purchased awhile back in digital form. It has helped me understand what we — the believers (or the atheists) — are facing. After all, we live on the same earth!

By Rick Renner, it’s titled How to Keep Your Head on Straight in a World Gone Crazy.

A simple explanation of its content is summarised thus:

I encourage you to consider purchasing this book and taking a long hard look at where we are and how we have lost our way.

We will never be enough for the world system, because we were never meant to be. “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.” Conforming to it leads us into a pit of despair and sin.

Beloved, only Jesus can be enough. We will never be liberal enough, quiet enough, all compliant enough; to think otherwise is folly. The spirit of the world has always contended with the Spirit of God. The spirit of the Antichrist will always contend with the Holy Spirit, and those who choose to live by God’s word.

Ephesians 6:10-13 reminds us,

“Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: be supernaturally infused with strength through your life union with the Lord Jesus. stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through you.

Put on God’s complete set of armour provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon gods and evil spirits that hold this Dark World in bondage.

Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, so you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.”

Is the church in such severe compromise that we have lost our way? It concerns me.

God is with us

Back to Psalm 103 — I omitted a couple of verses earlier, saving them for the end to encourage us that God is good, His mercy and love endures forever.

⁸ “He is merciful and tender toward those who don’t deserve it;
He is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love!
⁹ He never bears a grudge, nor remains angry forever.
¹⁰ He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins”.

I hope you take the time to let this song wash over you; may it minister and revive the embers so recently threatened to be extinguished.

Great physician, we are ailing.

But God is moving by His Spirit, in might and power, wherever He is welcomed! Are we dry enough to thirst for more? Are we desperate enough to fall to our knees and cry to Him in repentance, and resolve to return to our First Love?

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves
and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.”
~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

Amen, let it be so! Repentance and Revival, Lord! Only You can save us!
