All up, it was a stirring and unifying convention. The Party is now strong and united. As always, we need to keep America in our prayers. We need to pray for the November election. And we need to keep politicians like Trump and whoever his opponent might be in our prayers.

There is a tremendous sense of joy, hope and unity. Indeed, the Republicans are fully united behind Trump. As in Australia, in America, the conservative parties are becoming the parties of the worker, of the blue-collar class, while leftist parties tend to serve only the elites.

We should pray for the nations that we live in. When the enemy wants to bring hatred and division and bloodshed, we can pray for the opposite. Hateful rhetoric needs to be nipped in the bud, on all sides of politics. Please pray for Trump and his full recovery, and please pray for America.

While I share many people’s concerns about Trump’s character, Christians need to be careful how we think about this assassination attempt. Some may also be disappointed that the bullet merely wounded but didn’t kill him. But such thinking is unbiblical.
